@ELF014I'm ok with the fact that you can add some helper for the player that want to play a more arcade game. But the question is not to satisfy simmers or satisfy arcade players, it is about creating a game that comes as realistically as possible to the real sport of golf. I want to play to a golf video game because I love the sport of golf. This is not a question about "hard" or "easy", it is about the sport of golf and all it's difficulty. I don't want the game to be harder, I want the game to be more real.
For putting... and I would like this option in all swing settings; would to be able to disable the reticule. So you would have to eyeball every shot you line up... and distance would be controlled by how hard you hit the ball along with the length of swing. ie. Velocity based.
In real life you can take a putter back 6 inches and stroke it 6 feet or 60 feet. The same is true for full and partial shots.
Currently you just setup the distance you want and execute your shot. Granted there is a little under/over swing that effects distance, but I feel it is more realistic to remove this all together for those that want it.
But I agree it isn't about hard or easy... it is about trying to bring this sport as close as possible to our homes.
As I said maybe my expectations were too high. That while packaged as a sim, EA doesn't have it in them.
