Hard not to agree with what you said.
I have mentioned before, but it would have been much better to group 16 players into foursomes with turn order and a scoreboard showing all players participating and show highlights when someone in the group makes a great shot.
It would have taken longer to finish, but I think everyone would have gotten what they want.
Plus it is representative of actually playing a PGA event, imagine that.

I dojn't think the OP cares about having a golf sim. They want to play with other people competitively or socially. This is an e-sport bud. Maybe players like you who just care about physics and courses and don't find it boring to play offline by yourselves are the current majority of the community, but you are the severe minority of their potential playerbase in the video game world. EA not only dropped the ball, they seemed resentful and spiteful and killed off any potential for an online community from day 1.
The fact they make us reque every 2 mins to try and find players, is somone at EA raising up two middle fingers at us.

I play mainly online with friends... and when the game first came out I participated in the tournaments but didn't find them them very rewarding or competitive.
I can no longer get my group to play this game. They all think it is a farce to call it a golf game. It is just missing windmills and clowns to describe what it actually is.
I would argue those that care about physics and gameplay are actually the majority of a silent user group... especially in the golf simulation genre.
It would pretty much explain why no one is playing this arcade game.

You sound like someone who never even played thet past golf games that were hugely popular for reasons you seem to not know about. or care to admit imo. I will be going to buy 2k golf now, the more popular golf game, which you probably would call mario cart......lmao.... but hey you win man. Youve dominated these forums, probably influenced development, and now the game is pwned. congrats.

I have been around before computers came out... I have played the first golf games every created on a console, where it was a stickman and a single pixel representing a golf ball.
Golf games were what they are because of what it was compared to at the time. Links was a great golf series, for the time. But things evolve... as they should.
The Golf Club series (now 2K PGA) is what brought me back into video games. I have owned and played every one on a regular basis since it's release in 2014.
THERE IS A REASON why arcade golf games went away. Do you think it is a coincidence that EA stopped making them for almost 10 years?
Save your money... though 2K is not perfect, it is a lot closer to a sim than an arcade game. Even playing at the beginner levels with all the aids enabled and timing turned off you won't be holing out every shot.
But you might like Everybody's golf... it is arcadey with a golfing theme attached to it. And still plays a reasonably fun casual game of golf lite.
The only reason I seem to dominate these forums is because there is no one here. Just like the game.
And they don't listen to me, they aren't listening to anyone.
Nothing I have asked for has been implemented into this game.
