You have no clue what you are rambling about. Nobody wants a sim that is as difficult as real golf. Just you and the few others who are constantly begging the devs to make the game harder for everyone else. This is a video game. I know for an absolute fact that the vast majority of consumers want to play a VIDEO GAME and don’t want to stress out like real life. That’s the entire reason the old Tiger Woods games sold so incredibly well. You know, because people want to actually have fun while playing a video game? The hardcore sim crowd is a tiny fraction of the user population. But you got your wish now and we all have to suffer for it.

I have an opinion based on what I preceive is true.
There is nothing in this game that plays like a sim, so I don't know from where you are arguing from.
As for the previous games being successful, that is a relative statement and at the time the only viable console golf game in the market that I can remember. During a time when the sport was popular.
The Golf Club was released in 2014, EA's last game I believe was released shortly after. The Golf Club was built to be more of a sim, EA's game more of an arcade experience.
This was EA's last golf game for 9 years, The Golf Club continued to grow and eventually was bought by 2K.
You are right this is a video game, however did you read the promotional information for this product? It was packaged as a full on sim... so I don't think it wrong to have expected more from this game.
I have no problem for EA to cater to the arcade community, but how about creating a game for everyone?
And I would suggest the semi/hardcore demographic is larger than you think. I don't think it is a secret why no one is playing this game.
The Golf Club/2K community is still going pretty strong after 9 years.
