weekly tournament
why would you -EA- use AUGUSTA NATIONAL a second time let alone any other course in a calendar year when its a once-a-year tournament? makes ZERO sense to me....
The mode is mostly fine, but it's not like it used to be in the TW series. Arcade was a game of almost no wind and hole out. This week tournament, EA slapped 12mph wind on Augusta where if we end up on the wrong side of the hole, it's big sharp breaking putt almost impossible to make. I even made a bogey at 9th, by somehow hitting the pin and my ball rolling back halfway down the fairway. I'm far from the only one with a bogey, there's at least 6 golfers on the Top 100 with a bogey this week... on ARCADE set up.
There are 52 weeks in a year, and something like 35 real 18 holes courses in the game, some are going to be used twice. I prefer they used Augusta twice instead of Wolf Creek and Evian.
Anything but Wolf Creek, omg this course is so bad. I had a 15 foot sharp left to right on the first reachable par 4, and the putting line showed me some zigzag line ending left of the hole. I ignored that, went with what the green was showing and my putt ended up zigzaging and missing by a foot.
Wolf Creek is a big mess. On the second hole, I was just below the hole with a short right to left putt. The putting line showed me dead straight, I went with what the green was showing me and the putt went dead straight like the putting line.
The tournament in the current slot is the Olympics and its course is Le Golf National. Unfortunately this course is not available since more focus is on College Football 25 and Madden 25. It is funny how someone whines about a course not available in the game. Any course is better than Wolf Creek.
The putt line is going to give you the most accurate read. The grid doesn't show the contours of the green, just the difference in elevation between the corners of the grid. There's nothing wrong with the greens on those courses, just the lack of accuracy of the grid.
