Will not Launch - PC - Steam
Hello,
Like many others, I bought this on the steam sale this week and have been through every single troubleshooting thread I could find. Nothing has worked.
It is stuck in the endless "Launching game" / "Preparing Game" loop. Sometimes it does not display Launching game forever, but rather for a moment, then nothing. I receive no error messages.
- Steam Account is linked
- I am an administrator user. I have tried opening as administrator.
- My UAC settings are on the lowest possible
- I have verified files
- I have reinstalled the game completely several times
- I have reinstalled EA app several times
- I have no firewalls or antivirus active
- I have no VPN active
- I have tried launching from Steam, from EA
- I have tried uninstalling the deluxe package
- I have installed the game on different drives
- I have tried the EABackground service various suggestions
- All of my drivers and windows updates are up to date
- I have tried clearing the EA cache
- I have tried opening the EA app before launching from steam
- Lastly, I have done a complete system wipe with a clean windows install with this game being the only installed app afterwards.
What exactly is the issue here and why are so many people experiencing variants of the problem? I've uploaded my dxdiag for reference, and I'm on a hardwired fiber line.

To check do you have a Game Ready driver or Creator driver for your 3090?
Also, based on the information in your Dxdiag can we try the following?
- Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Close other running applications on your device
- Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Restart your device in Clean Boot mode first then try again.
- Try creating a new admin account and checking if the message continues to pop up
