18.1.1 update - ALL PROGRESS LOST

Could a support tech please contact me to arrange a restore of 6+ years of progress by using our Player ID ? We did an updated on 19th November and we lost everything and the first line support chat staff just direct us to the generic linking help wiki's etc.

  • Sorry to tell you the sad news.  Based on the posts I have read here and sub reddit, evidents suggest there are a few help center advisors can assist players to restore their account and are currently working flat out so will have virtually no time to contact players posting their requests on this forum or any other forums.  

    IF you wish to get assistance, you will need to contact the Help Center advisor by following the link at the bottom of this page either via email or chat option (whichever option is available to your region).

  • Yes - it was what I feared per many threads about hit and miss. Perseverance and getting someone to actually listen and understand was key - after providing my Player ID again and explaining that it was a common and known issue that only senior tech support could resolve, the support person got the right people to resolve it.

    We are now back to playing with the original profile and all our progress is intact. We did enabled the account registration so now our profile is backed up the preferred way (ironic that iCloud did a PVZ2 backup but you can't access it to restore).

    To others who go through this - keep trying until you get someone who will listen and get it resolved !

    Thank you for the update and sharing of the good news.

    This proves there are still hopes... oops I mean helps to us all (long-timed loyal PVZ2 players).   👿

    Hey @Fluffy888Fluffy glad to hear you got to recover your progress!

    If you don't mind, could you send me your player ID in private message? Teams are curious to know what would cause the progress loss to happen in the first place and the ID would be useful for them to investigate.

  • Hi I have a similar issue that also happened after installing the update early this week. Could you please let me know where to start to recover my progress and purchases? Thank you.
