Audio Bug when using external player

The audio from PVZ2 is working normally. But I like to play the game listening to music on Spotify. When I do this, my music plays at a lower volume(similar to getting a notification while playing a game [notification sounds on]). So whenever I play the game I need to compensate by increasing the volume to max and muting the game to hear my music. It is really annoying because as I leave the app, the volume of my music goes back to normal. But with my volume on max, I blast my own ears because of this bug. 
I am using an iPhone 13 Pro on iOS 16.4

This bug has already been here for around 6 months or longer. Please fix EA thanks

    Sadly IOS is still not very good at multitask even at 2023. 

    I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and it did the same when I ask it to play external music in the background.  If you are after multitasking facility on mobile, I think the new S23 Ultra from Samsung can do a much better job.

    It’s not really about multitasking, it’s more about the app not working normally with music in the background. There must be something in the game’s code causing this issue. iOS is working just fine, other apps work properly with background music playing. This issue did not exist until a few months ago. I guessed that EA would fix this issue with following updates, but they did not seem to be aware of this bug. So, I thought to give them a head up.

    PVZ2 is an old game and the audio was working fine on IOS until Apple release IOS 14.x update back in 2021.   That broke most of the audio in PVZ2 and PopCap has been 'fixing' it ever since with various degrees of  success but at the same it also brings unwanted side effects.  Needless to say, it is now 3 years later and the audio of PVZ2 is still not working correctly as it once was.
