Error applying content

Whenever I try to load the game, the game stops after downloading progress and comes up with “patching failed ,Error applying content(7) when it is applying patch

  • I did get a patching failed message on my iPhone when I update to version 10.9.1.  

    I force close the App and it seemed to restart as normal.  Have you tried restart the App?

    Are you on iPhone, iPad, or maybe Android?

    What exact iOS/iPadOS or Android OS version?

    What generation/model of iPhone and/or iPad?

    I think this is the time you have to note down your player ID before making further attempts.  You should be able to get your player ID from Settings>PVZ2>PLAYER INFO.

    The next thing you can try to start the App is to disable your internet data either by turning off WiFi access (or enable Airplane Mode).  Now restart the App and see if it let you get into the main menu.  If it does, then after your are into the main menu, you can re-enable your internet data and check if your game save progress is loaded correctly.If so, then please register your email with EA and get 100 free gems if you have not yet done so.
