Extra levels after defeating DR Zomboss

The extended (extra hard) levels were removed from the main game a long time ago. However, currently there are 8 levels re-appearing in the form of a quest with 80 gem rewards on a fortnightly rota, you can find this quest from the travel log.

So does that mean they won’t be bringing those levels back?

I guess only if there is a big $$$ incentive for the big boss..... then EA/PopCap can be forced to bring them back, otherwise it will stay with the current arrangement.
