When interacting with PVZ2 I have experienced multiple spontaneous crashes in the arena, pinata party, Penny's pursuit and even while watching ads. Anyone else?

Are you playing on an up to date device with the latest software and do you have the latest version of PVZ2 installedI am on build version 10.2.2... is that the most recent?
I have also been having a *ton* of spontaneous crashes in game today. In every part of the game. Mid arena, mid Penny's, adventure levels, store.... all of them. My game and phone are updated.

I'm having the exact same problem too!! The game crashes anywhere between 2mins - 5mins whenever I load up the game on my Samsung 22 Ultra. It's been happening since Christmas 2022 with the new winter update. It's frustrating because you can't get paid for winning penny's pursuit, or even an Arena fight.
Exactly! You use up your gauntlets and you crash and don't get points!
- @5fmm0rshm3th I'm having the same problem. I have updated pvz2 as well as my device OS, cleaned my cache memory for pvz2 - but still the same problem. I have observed though, that in any event, after pushing the "play" button, immediately go to your device setting and turn off your wi-fi then go back to the game and continue playing - without any game crashes. After you completed the level it will prompt for internet connection. Turn-on your wi-fi and see the game status updated. But this is not a solution! This is craziness! Dear EA please fix this problem ASAP.

@t2Noy Thank you for the detailed explanation of the problem you have experienced. Turning off WiFi (and internet data) not only stops the communication link to the server to update the progress but also stops the forced ads. I have had experience of issues with my very old iPhone (5s) and since the 10.x update whenever I get a forced ads the App halted and the only way for me to bring it back to normal operation is to terminate and re-start the App.
My suspicion is on the badly patched ads which might have interfered with the server data update and causes the unexpected crash, EA should have made PopCap to do more play-tests to maintain program integrity before releasing new changes to players.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I wonder now if this problem is platform or device specific? Going through so many post, it seems not everyone is having this problem. What should we do then? I hope EA comes up with a solution ASAP. It is becoming obnoxious. Well, yes i can't let go - got myself addicted to this game, what a pity. LOL!!!
I am currently suffering from this issue as well ☹️ my game will close anywhere from 30secs to 2 mins. I am on an up-to-date Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with the most current PVZ2 game installed. However, it is also happening on my Galaxy Tab S7 tablet.
I've lost so many Piñata rewards, Penny's Pursuit fuel, ad rewards, and my endless streaks reset because of crashes. It's unplayable at this point.

If you care take a look at the posts here, you would have noticed a It is quite obvious some of the devices from the Android platform seems to be more susceptible to this newly introduced crashing bug. I do sincerely hope EA can get the PopCap devs to take note and get this fixed asap. With such a wide spread of popular models, it does beg to wonder how does this bug escape the check from the quality control team? 🤔
