Has the game lag issue from June 22, 2024 update been resolved?

Has anyone who had an issue with the game lagging been able to resume normal speed with the IPadOS 17.5.1? My case history says resolved but I am still having the issue, and now all of my progress, plants, coins, and data is gone.

  • I have an ipad running 16.7.8 and since the update, PvZ2 has become useless. The speed is slooooooooow. I can't use the program. So sad. I liked it. I guess that EA doesn't care about the older ipads any longer.

They should have warned me that the new program with new resolution will seriously degrade performance on older ipads.

I tried running PvZ on my iPhone 13, no go either. I only played 3 min and the screen got really hot.

    I guess it's good bye to PvZ2.

  • Okay - good to know. I am in the same situation then. Thank you for the information - much appreciated.

  • Still an issue.

    I'm running PvZ2 11.5.1 on iOS 17.5.1.

    • The PvZ2 app is slow, specifically when a lot is happening on screen
    • My phone is overheating during play (I receive heat notifications while charging)
    • It's crashing after arena battles and Penny's Pursuit levels

This same issue happened back around Jan. 12-14, 2024. Back then, they fixed it after a few days.

It's been a few days, hopefully they will resolve it again soon, because they have not done anything that's worked yet.

Hey everyone, this is still ongoing but the teams are working on a fix! Thank you for your patience!
  • Is there a projected date of resolution?  Invested money in the game cause I enjoy it and am missing out on plants of week and other things
