Have my player ID, but EA support won't restore the account

I tried to get my profile restored after it was abruptly deleted when I came back to the game about a week ago. I had my ID, and I know it is correct because this isn't the first time I have had to restore this account. After a week of trying to understand the problem, they have just repeated the same vague, non-answer:

Please let me share that, we tried our best to merge your both the accounts i.e old and new. However it doesn't work. So, we would request you to share the player ID of different account.

Awaiting for your response.

I've asked them what this problem is MANY times, that they keep not elaborating on. I also have asked what they could possibly mean by "another ID"??? As if I have another, separate, identical account that I play on?? (No they are not referring to a throwaway, I already tried this)  Even though I never said this.

Another thing I should note is that this is some form of scripted answer (a scripted answer that I also got after writing what could be considered a short essay, trying to understand what the problem was), because I have gotten this verbatim from 3/4 different people, so I might as well not be talking to a human at this point. Horrible customer service.

Has anyone experienced this problem, and if you were able to solve it, how?

    I'd unterstand it like this: Apparently, your account got completely wiped out. This means you have an account with a completely new player ID on your device. Is this correct?

    So what EA Help is trying to do is to merge your old account (old ID) with your new account (new ID). It looks like this doesn't work, so they want you to give them a different new player ID.
