Help Syncing PVZ2 Progress from iPad to iPhone (Same Game Center Account)

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to sync my son’s Plants vs Zombies 2 progress from his iPad to his iPhone. Both devices are using the same Apple ID and Game Center account. However, when I launch the game on the iPhone, it doesn’t give me any option to load his existing profile or progress from iCloud/Game Center.

I noticed that deleting the current game data on the iPhone comes with a warning that all profiles will be permanently deleted. I’m hesitant to do this in case it wipes out the progress on both devices.

Has anyone successfully synced progress between devices? Is there a specific step I’m missing, or do I need to manually trigger the sync somehow? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

  • Warning.  DO NOT delete your PVZ2 account from that screen or there will be no way back.

I have my games on multiple devices (iPhones and iPads) and they seemed to be working.  The method I use was to register my email address on the old device first and then perfoming the email register again (using the same email addtress) on the new device.

If you have not done the email registeration before and not sure how this is done, please read the following steps.

    1. On the old device (with data you want to be made available on the new device), start the PVZ2 App
    2. Click the spanner button (from the bottom right) on the main menu to oprn the Settings menu, select download Preferences and screenshoot or note down your player ID.  This is an important step as if anything goes wrong, you will need provide this information to the help center to receive helps.  Once this is done, go back to the main menu.
    3. Click the cloud button (from the bottom left corn) on the main menu
    4.  Register the the account with a valid email.  (there is a small gem rewards for first time register)
    5. On the new device, install PVZ2 and then start the App.
    6. perform the same email register as you have done on the old device, you will then be given a code to your email address, use this code to verify you are the account owner.  Once verification is sucessful, you will get an ID conflict message and this offers you an option to recover the player ID from your old device to the new device.  From this point, please make sure to select the old ID as if you select a new ID, the game will link your email address with the new ID and your old data will be overwriiten.
