I registered the account two years ago, but I don't remember seeing the old player ID number.
There's two things you can do, as you registered for EA's email registration scheme you can use it to request a unique code to restore your account.
The other way is to get your old player id number and contact EA HELP CENTER by tapping "HELP " at the bottom of the page and making out a missing content report, this might take up to a couple of days and they can't/won't restore your account without the correct player id number.
It's located under settings/ build version and i suggest you screenshot it or write it down somewhere safe.
I suggest you turn off the wifi on your ipad so it can't update the new account and screenshot/ write down your player id number.
I should try getting your player id number first, you will need it if you have dealings with EA HELP.
