Sorry I forgot to repost this but can you elaborate more on what this means?? I'm kinda new to all this mint stuff! I played pvz2 when if first come out and played for a long time but I stopped and just recently came back to all this plant leveling and mint stuff lol. Thanks in advance!!
- 6 years ago@jeffypop1978 It was a plant featured in arena like ultomato now which you have to get seed packets for. Hence you can only unlock it now if you can get seed packets for it and then level up from there.

EA brought out powermints [usually known as mints] that could only be bought with a new in game currency [mints] that were available in small numbers through doing tasks in the quest log and through arena streak rewards, at that time there was a 98 streak reward cycle that slowly got bigger with a multiplier applied so every time you finished the cycle it went up by 1 up to a maximum of x10.
This meant that you could win up to 120 mints just for winning a match and when you reached x7 you would generate more gauntlets than you used, the seeds, gauntlets and coin rewards were also as generous.
There was a 'gem tax' that went 10,20,30,40 and so on that you had to pay to maintain your streak or you went back to the beginning, it was capped at 250 but by that time it had already cost 3,000 gems [there was a way round it but i'm not going to get into that].
A 'streak killer' struck around every 10th match so if you wanted to maintain your streak you had to pay out in gems.
The resource doubling bug struck many players and all of a sudden a huge number of players had virtually unlimited resources and they bought as many 100 gem seed packets and levelled their plants up with their limitless wealth, eventually the game basically couldn't handle the numbers and their resource levels either stabilised or they would have to get EA HELP to fix it, but they got to keep their levelled up plants that should have taken them years of grinding and buying gems from the store.
EA/ popcap scrapped the old streak system and brought out battlez seasons [later arena] with it's pathetic rewards without a multiplier and a 7 streak reward cycle [but still with a streak killer?] , they also brought out seedium plants as arena rewards and enlightenmint was one of those, personally I think whatever plant they were bringing out was buggy so the went with enlightenmint instead.
I'm not going to go into mastery as Tigerol does an excellent mastery explained post that you will find in the useful links thread.
ALL HAIL EIEIO!

Thank you for the advice! Though I don't have imp pear I'll get ailmint then (and dearly hope imp pear will be available some time again) and bombardment mint. I'll see how many additional mints I can scrap together in the remaining days and decide then whether I get enforcemint or level up spearmint or both (as I do use spearmint a lot indeed)

Rackman70 did the math and it literally will take years to level up your plants.
Another post worth reading.
