Long time players like you and I have no problems but Penny's Pursuit is certainly not new players friendly, they either have not got all the necessary plants or the plant levels to win the difficult quests.
So these 40+ gems per day are out of reach for most players.
(FYI, there are sometimes an 8th gem is dropped and if you are lucky, you might get up to 48 gems a day)
@eieio_31310 I agree and with all the glitches the game has it’s going to put players off. The restore purchases and the penny pursuit filled it spoils your enjoyment of the game. The least they could do is to fix the glitches which they never do
