You were able to get some seed packets for Snap Pea just recently (10th anniversary). This is how I got it. But it was like 25 gems for 10 or 20 seed packets. I think I spent over 350 gems to get it. But there is nothing else I spend my gems on so I didn't care that it was totally overpriced. If you care about your gems you might want to wait until you can get seed packets in BattleZ Pinatas. But only EA knows when that will be...
My highest score in practice for next weeks Battlez. The average was 750k. Only tested strategies using Shadow Peashooter to slow down zombies which I think might be the best option. Gonna have to wait for @FantastiXxPVZ to come up with the best level 1 plants strategy once again 🙂 A Caulipower strategy might score higher but I don't have that plant.
My first attempt with Level 1 dual Cauli and Bowling Bulb was >500k
Level 1 Modern Day Shadow Pea, Conceal mint, Bombard mint, Explode O'Nut - first try 716k

@PowerTossahh, that was just when I started playing. I didn't have much gems so only managed to get Shadow Pea to 150 then Pinata partied till I got around 200. I must've missed Snap Pea at the same time. Ahh well, I am saving saving saving till they come around again. Maybe Christmas :D Still learning lots!
Have not tried PPM yet for this week. I will give it a go today.
Shadow Pea, Bowling Bulb, Laser Bean seem to be the strongest shooting plants.
Need to be able to slow down Footballer (nut or * shroom plus take out Sarco and Troglobites popping up in middle columns so Shadow Pea or even Grimrose could be useful. PPM might be able to do that too.
970k with shadow peashooter, moonflower, 2x eon and concealmint, 1m easily achievable with this setup.
Great. Level 1 with 1M score should hold up well.

I started with a column of Bowling Bulbs and a three MoonFlowers which does not lead to quick Zombie kills so less Bowling Bulbs and more MoonFlowers to begin...revised screenshot for starting layout shown down below, score improved 50% !
High Mastery dual PPM with Explode O'Nut reached >3.1M for a first try
High Mastery dual PPM with Walnut reached >3.72M for a first try
I tried many different strats and highest I could get with F2P was 1.4 Million Moonflower, Winter Melon, Primal Potato Mine, Tile Turnip, Bombard-mint. I'll post a vid on it later, but might be at Level 3. I couldn't beat this.

I have reached 804k with MagicDave's Level 1 plant selection in Gold league.

A very well use of Caulipowers -- normally they shine on Battlez when there are lots of big gargs around, but this one has none!
I think F2P (instant-kills) will do ok with this Battlez but would not stand a chance with player who know how to get the best of out of the premium plants.

I think I'm going to stick to my practice F2P (Seedium, Mint) strategy. You can break 1M with it but a lot of digging up and re-planting is involved. You need to make sure that a Shadow Pea is behind a tombstone and try to pick out the "candies" with Toadstools. The double Exploder Nut seems to be the better option if you have it.
I'm going to try a F2P (no Seedium) with Tile Turnip and PPMs later.
Edit: No Seedium second try.

I'm trying to get my second profile to level 5 F2P plants. I feel like that's going to take a year to get there. I was able to upgrade my sun production plants due to last weeks tournament. But in this weeks tournament all you get in the second Pinata are freaking Toadstool seeds. At least I haven't gotten anything else, have you? Should be a good week if you want to upgrade your frog.
I thought it was Pinata #5 that provided me with Toadstool seed packets. 60 in total being back in Gold League.
Keep collecting GEMs when you can and save them to go to Jade League for 260 seed packet pinatas !
Zen Garden for coin farming. World Pinata Tracker twice daily of course in the world of your choice. I spent few months at Pirate Seas and now I am spending a few more months at Ancient Egypt. For both profiles.
Before BattleZ existed I had all my Modern Day plants at Level 7 in two profiles and Level 5 in a third profile.
Patience and you will get there. Enjoy the game in the moment.

Yes, I meant the second Pinata in the streak (#5). Thank you for the tips. Buying Pinatas for gems seems to be the best option to level up plants. I'm doing the daily Insanity Quests but I stopped with the World Pinata Tracker...3 or for 4 seeds for a plant is so little when you need 400 for level 5. It is so frustrating to see the level bar increase by a tiny bit.
I am enjoying the game a lot but being patient isn't my strongest ability 😉 I don't have a second device I play PvZ 2 on.
This game is great for Brain Training rather than paying for CBT programs !
I play to work on my patience, strategy, hand eye coordination, and working on short term and long term goals !!
World Pinata tracker seems very slow but it does add up...
I only have a second device because a screen was slightly cracked and could not be used for replacement.

Here is what I do:
1. Start with 6 Moonflowers, 5 Shadow Pea, and 5-6 Mines in the most right column
2. Try to replace a mine as soon as it is charged
3. Use Conceal-Mint at first necromancy and then whenever it is ready
4. Use Bombard-Mint when PPM recharged and directly plant a PPM in the most right column (middle)
5. Use Plant Food on Bombard-Mint whenever PPM recharged and repeat step 4
6. During the last seconds you should have one last PPM, try to find a spot to plant it and hope it explodes 🙂
Edit: When you find a good spot for a PPM plant it without using Bombard-Mint beforehand. Than you have a Bombard-Mint PPM combo for the last seconds!
I couldn't reproduce the 1.4M score within 12 games but I got 1.2M and 1.3M. You need to make sure that no plant gets eaten. Occasionally plant Toadstool to pick out some zombies (yellow zone). I think the round has to start with buckethead zombies...the ice block pushing guys are just to slow. The 1.4M might be a game with a RNG you get once in every 50 games.

I currently running 6 active profiles, so for me this will be 2x L1, 1x level 3, and 3x level 5 enlighten-mints to get. so my next three weekends are fully booked.
