Happening to me too - twice in last hour Arena crashed - lost gauntlets but not progress - and Im playing on a brand new 7G RAM tablet🤬
Advice from other posters to check threads on this issue unhelpful as most recent thread is from Feb 2021.
What is a great idea is one thread with all issues/bugs/complaints in one place to show devs, if they've time to read it.
This could be an interaction between plants as similar issues had happened before in past tournaments.
May I ask what plants are you using?
It would also helps to list the make, model number and the version of OS loaded on your gaming device as this could sometimes have troubles with new Arena design.

Have used a combo of Primal Potato Mine, Bowling Bulbs, Grave Buster, Turnip Tile, Chard Guard or the first four and Sun Bean.
On both my Blackview Tab 12 android tablet (Android 11) and Sony Xperia XZ1 (Android 9), in past half hour, I've had four (4) crashes halfway through Arena matches.Lost gauntlets not progress though I will through not being able to play. Good thing I'm not ars*d about going up to Jade.
@Cymraes9999 Could you try replacing Grave Buster with something else (sun bean perhaps) please just in case this reacts with the Tomb Tangler.
(Besides, Tomb Tangle only costs 50 sun and it's effect is immediate and I find it useful in this tournament.)

Currently in Jade League. I'm using Tomb Tangler, Bowling Bulb, Primal Potato Mine, Turnip Tile, Bombard Mint, and Spear Mint.
Even in the previous arena tournaments and even if I use other plants, it happened randomly.
I'm using Samsung A71 Android 12. I've had 2 crashes today, not including the past days and the past tournaments. Actually it also happens in Penny's Pursuit.
I'm halfway through the matches in Arena, matches in Penny's Pursuit, and Zomboss(in Penny's Pursuit) then the app crashes. Lost gauntlets, lost fuel but no points, no rewards.@shasmeen09 Your plant selection looks normal to me so I guess the issue is not plants interaction. I am an IOS user so have limited knowledge on Android but I think you phone is quite modern and with a very wide screen (2040x1080 or 20:9) resolution. This old game was released way back in 2013 where 1920x1080HD or 16:9 was the normal standard so I wonder if the crashes you are experienced is screen graphic related as I have not heard of similar issue reported (yet) from players using other android devices.
Question: Is there a screen output resolution setting on your phone?

I checked the app resolution and it's on "app default". Though I still tried changing the resolution to a smaller one, the crash still happens and the app's response became worse. I've been using this phone since 2020 and been playing pvz since then, but it works fine before. I think this crash thing only started after the last update with the 9.9.2 version. 😞
