New plant

Hello, PopCap / EA team,

I would like to suggest an idea for a new plant for PvZ 2, which I think could greatly diversify the gameplay.

 

Name: Rocket Pineapple

Type: fire-type plant, manually activated (not automatic)

Unlock cost: 500 seed packets plus 300 gems

Base attack:

 

launches a rocket at a chosen target dealing 2000 damage

 

the blast radius is 3 by 3 tiles and leaves fire tiles dealing 150 damage per second

 

each additional planting of this plant costs 100 sun more

 

when using plant food, fires 5 rockets at random tiles, prioritizing the strongest zombies, and leaves blue fire tiles which, at level 10, are 400 percent stronger

 

after the first plant food, there is a 10 percent chance of automatically activating the ultimate again

 

after the first plant food, all rockets become blue with 3500 damage and strengthen surrounding fire

Special features:

 

a 5 by 7 fire aura around the plant unfreezes and strengthens nearby plants

 

while fire mint is active, the aura becomes blue and boosts fire plants by 250 percent

 

the plant is instantly ready for use upon planting, but requires 20 seconds cooldown before the next shot

Balance:

high damage and control, but with high cost and a long cooldown

 

 

Reasons:

This plant can be a powerful but balanced way to deal with large waves and armored zombies, and would offer new strategic options for players.

    Subject: Suggested Adjustments for the New Plant

     

    Dear team,

     

    Thank you for taking the time to consider player feedback. Based on recent concerns, I would like to suggest the following adjustments to the new plant in order to improve balance and address reported issues:

     

    Price: Completely remove the gem cost. The plant should be available through other means, such as progression or for free.

     

    Skills:

     

    The ability that boosts the plant during mint activation will remain, but now it will simply scale to the stats of level 10 without additional bonuses.

     

    If the plant is already at level 10, it will receive an extra 1,000 damage during mint activation.

     

    The ultimate ability will remain unchanged.

     

    The blue fire effect will stay, similar to the Ice Peashooter's chilling effect.

     

    Remove the mechanic similar to Mega-Gatling where it could trigger its ultimate automatically; the plant should no longer activate its ultimate on its own.

     

    Introduce a cooldown between att

    acks of 100 seconds.

    I believe these changes will help keep the plant fair and balanced while still making it fun and rewarding to use.

  • And this plant is also too open hanging, right? Too many skills make the game less fun.
