I just got the update and downloaded it. Everything looks fine and I can get FREE seeds now 🙂 I can also play the Murkadamia Nut Quest.
However, there is no costume in the store currently ☹️
I'll let you know if I find anything weird.

They did say the issue has not been replicated on accounts being played on a single device, only on multiple devices where the problem was reproduced and no solution has yet been found.
@PowerToss thanks for the heads up, so we shall update ours at a time when it will be convenience to us, with me it might be best around 20:00 my time.
@eieio_31310 I got some new information:
Daily Offers are now broken up into different sections and each has its own timer. So it's not an individuell timer - just different timers (Now you have to check the store more often 😉)
And for the costumes:
Players must own the plant to be able to purchase it's corresponding costumes. Same rule as previous still stands which is if you already own the costume and it shows it in the store, you won't be able to see it.

Thank you @PowerToss for the update. If the Daily Offers are on a 24 hours rota then one would only missed out some the first time after the update but subsequent days this can be check at the same time unless you are unlucky enough to have checked a few minutes late and missed the offer, my guess is that if players do the checking twice daily, there should be little chance to miss out a good offer (especially the free gifts)
As for players must own the plant to be able to buy the costume, I think this is how it was originally when costume was first introduced, it was changed later due to demand from players wanting to spend coins/gems and EA changed the option. It make more sense to me as I do not see any points in spending my hard earned coins/gems on something that I have not own.
@eieio_31310 I agree with you. You should only be able to get the costume for plants that you own. What I don't understand is why they don't make them show up in case you don't own the plant. If I were in charge of the shop I would totally do something like this 👿
@PowerToss The update actually didn't show up when I updated the updates tab in the App Store. I actually had to go to the store page to update it and not just search for new updates manually. I guess that was just a bug with the App Store then. It's really weird to me that they would do a soft launch for a game update, but apparently they have always been doing that (at least on Android?). Im generally pretty upset with state of the franchise as a whole:
