Penny's Pursuit stuck on "Dr Zomboss has escaped " screen

After the end of the last Penny's Pursuit event, I cannot play Penny's Pursuit any more. It gets stuck on the "Dr Zomboss has escaped" screen (attached) and I cannot get out of it - get a reward and ...
