Plants vs Zombies 2 cross platform

I originally purchased plants vs zombies garden warfare on my Xbox 1, and now that I have switched platforms to a Pc, I wanted to redownload Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, and check to see if I had retained all the cosmetics that I had unlocked on my Xbox 1 console.

Upon searching for the game in your application, I noticed that it was requiring me to purchase the game, even though I already have purchased it on this account, on my Xbox 1. I was wondering about 2 things, those being if I would be able to access the game (Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 1) without having to re-purchase the game. My second question is, even though I have not re-purchased the first Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, could I still purchase Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2, and obtain my cosmetics from Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 1, in which were on my console (same account as this one), through the mailbox function, which allows you to transfer your unlocked cosmetics from the first game, to the second games inventory.
