I play the app daily. When I opened it today, it crashed and reset my Pixel 4a. After the reset, I am back at the beginning. How do I recover my years of play in this game? I have my player ID and EA account. Is there a way to do this?

@RedWingsScott I have been playing pvz2 for over 6 years and I've never heard of an ad free version.There is an ad free version of the original pvz version that was sold through Steam.(I still have that).Losing account data is a common problem sadly, and i got so fed up giving the same answer that i now keep a standard response on my clipboard. 📋 If you signed up for EA's email registration scheme then you can get a unique code sent to your email address to restore your account from the backup servers.This takes about 5 minutes. If you have your player id number, you can contact EA HELP CENTER by tapping on help center at the bottom of this page.Please note that EA can't/ won't restore an account without your player id number so please screenshot it and keep it safe.If you have a new profile and can't get EA to recover your old one from the backup servers, they will add plants to your new startup account if you have proof of purchase from your purchase history.

@A02E70C1 You can file a case in the Help Center and provide your player ID in the case. Depending on the EA advisor handling your case, it can take a few hours to a few days to recover your lost profile.

@A02E70C1 I am in the UK region and there used to be both email and livechat options, now there is only livechat.

@A02E70C1The following steps are based on web browser on my computer, the same page on the phone could look different.Go to https://help.ea.com/en/help-home/Search for "Plants vs. Zombies 2" in Game support text box, click it.Select "I need help restoring my progress in the game"Click "Chat with us", fill in necessary information, including your player ID, and start a live chat with EA advisor.If you're able to reach a live advisor and he/she is experienced on this kind of issue, you should get your progress recovered in a few minutes. If the advisor is inexperienced and said he/she will report this issue, close the chat and start a new one.If you cannot get hold of a live person, the chat will be saved as an open case and accessible from "My Cases" on top of web page. You can resume the case any time, which should start a live chat session again (I'm not 100% sure on this, it seems EA changed the Help Center UI again recently).DO NOT chat with the bot at the lower right corner, it's useless.

I suspect that EA has cut costs by using a cheap A.I. to handle complaints instead of an indian call center.
When i put in my last complaint, about 6 months ago about 300 missing aquavine seeds, EA help had an email option but kept on closing my complaints down without resolving my issue.
Eventually they closed it as fixed and it hasn't been.
EA HELP CENTER is currently useless and probably broken.
I am annoyed. 😠
