@tommystarman I still don't completely understand why it's not working...since your progress is saved locally on your device. So if you have an old backup from 2019 this backup should theoretically contain the progress you had at that point. Only if you are connected to the internet this progress file will be overwritten. I might be wrong but in theory and from my understanding of backups this should work.
- Connect your device to your computer
- Open iTunes and restore your phone from the old backup of 2019
- Turn off internet connection (Airplane mode and WiFi turned off)
- Open the PvZ2 App
You should now have the profile you had in 2019.

@tommystarman But you did get your progress back when you played offline? Because then it should be easy to get that progress synced to the server.

I'm also doing backups of my phone just in case I have to restore some data because I lose my phone^^ In addition I always thought that I was save to not lose my progress in the games I play since I could always restore it from a backup. Luckily, I never had to test if it really works...but you could now be the guinea pig 😛
- tommystarman6 years agoRising Adventurer@PowerToss I've been searching the web, is there an easy way of just extracting from a iTunes backup to pull out this pp file and drop into my iPhone so I don't have to do a restore again?

@PowerTossBut as soon as you connect to play, the other profile comes back, that's the issue.. And it also makes you then chose between idenities, and I don't understand why I have 2 now...@tommystarman My advice is that if you can get the old profile back off-line, it might worth (clearing out some storage space first if required) taking screenshots of your plants collection with their levels, coins, gems, mints and gauntlets. Should one day an EA advisor decides to restore your profile manually (not very likely but one can still hopes), at least you have the required details (evident and NOT guess work) to demand they to at least put things back to how they were and minimize your lost.
