PvZ 2 Crash on Startup

So I got a new Android phone, the Revvl 6, and when I try to open PvZ 2, it shows the icon then closes out. I have uninstalled/reinstalled, cleared cache and data, restarted my phone, talked with customer service, and did everything on the Troubleshooting Steps for Android.

Customer service didn't seem to know how to solve the issue, and they just directed me to the forums.

Is it an update that's crashing the game?

What would you suggest on how to fix the issue?

So the only way for it to work is to factory reset the phone. I and someone else tried it and it worked. Though definitely be sure to back up EVERYTHING.

@Purreffect Hey there, have you tried changing your type of connection as well - for example switching from 4G/5G to Wifi, or vice versa? You can also check the Play Store and search for the app there to see if there is an option to update it.
  • Thank you for the response. I just attempted to change the network. I can't access 4G, however, but I got LTE, 3g, and 2g. My old phone was 4g.

    Are there any other suggestions?

  • Any luck?

Just bought the REVVL 6 today, having the exact same problem

  • I'm sure you've probably already tried it, to no avail, if you're asking about it online here.

But just in case you didn't, I had the same issue with a new REVVL 6 I bought, and the only thing that ended up working was factory resetting it (despite the fact that it was brand new when I got it), then going through multiple updates and restarts to ensure the phone was 100% up to date BEFORE installing PvZ 2 even once. I don't know why, but it did the trick.

Interesting how that worked. If I didn't already have stuff on my phone I'd factory restart it too.

Well, thank you internet stranger for the advice!

I know this post is old but another solution is to download an app called parallel space. I've been using it for a while and it works well.
