Seriously. It used to be the car ad that crashed the game. Now it crashes everywhere at anytime. Just crashed as I was picking plants for the arena challenge, wasting a gauntlet spent - which was the 4th crash this morning. I have played since it was created, but this is going to convince me to move on.

Having a similar issue where the game crashes when selecting game mode, any ideas how to fix?
I've restarted my phone, the app, reinstalled the app, deleted cache and data and same issue whenever I log in through my account. I'm on android. Hope someone can help.

Crashes about every third time in arena. I lose my gauntlet and progress.
This happens only on my iPad Pro.

@MAGICDAVESHROOM I think your experience with the newer device (and or Operating System) is not isolated, I have seen reports like this before but thought it was older system which caused the issue.

FYI. My 10 years old iPhone 5s is showing this kind of problem since a few updates ago but the issue I encountered seems to be ads dependent, sometimes I suspect the ads tries to open Google Play on my iPhone! 🤭

I have four profiles and am trying to claim the 1x seed for watching an ad for maybee pinata.
On my Android 13 device the game crashes at the end of every ad, without fail.
Restarting my device didn't help. Samsung A71
On my Android 8 device so far the game hasn't crashed once.

Thanks @Lambsy65 I will update it on my old iPhone 5s first in the coming weekend and see how it goes. I would recommend player playing with only one device to hold off the update from now just in case.
FYI there has been data pushes for both 10.4.1/10.4.2 and 10.3.1 earlier and I guess this is to extend the old version a little longer, ultimately, if you want the next new plant, you will have no other options but to update at a later date.

@nakibest I used PC to contact EA before and the link below is the address I have used with a very small degree of success.
(Please note that if it is just a feedback or bug report, it seems to be logged to their system and you would rarely be getting a reply) You might give it a try since if your game failed to start up, there is little option available for you.

A quick question please, have you tried to turn off your internet data and WiFi and see it could start up to the main menu? If it does then this is a good time to take note of your player ID as you will need to provide this information so the advisor can work on your account should it be required.
