As @eieio_31310 has pointed out, you can still access arena through the main screen, tap on the picture then the red cross ❌️ and you should go directly to arena, (sometimes it goes directly to arena, sometimes a banner for other plants pops up).
I'm playing on Android phone and there is no main menu or picture. No access to arena

Same for me - @miodrag7861 At least we can get in arena with daily quests just tried even without update better than nothing.
True but you have to stay in battlez otherwise you can't get back in until quests are refreshed.
