PVZ2 Food Fight progress not maintained

This is a players forum, periodically we have community managers visiting and passing the bug reports to the team but there is always a delay in bug fixing unless the problem is mega urgent. Since there is a workaround for this event, I doubt there will be anything done for the remaining period of the current event.
I have done the event on all of my active profiles on IOS and have not encountered any issues so there could be platform related or local data update issue. Yes, the entery cost to the game is doubled to 20 energy packs in the event for some reason but I still find spending 4x 9300 (37,200) coins to buy the required energy packs rewarding for it frees up my time to do other quests such as Arena and Penny's.
With regards to the crashing on L12-L16, could you try switch off the internet data/WiFi access once you are in the Thyme Event game and see if this helps? since the last few updates, I noticed there have been problems with random forced ads loading and running in the background and that might have been the cause of the unexpained crashes.
There used to be an option to report bugs directly to EA HELP CENTER (you could report bugs, but they could not respond to you), however that option seems to have disappeared.
There used to be options to make missing content reports by creating cases, those cases are still there but there no longer seems to be any way of creating a new case and the menus seem to loop back to the official player forum.
I think that EA might have closed down the HELP CENTER for pvz2, probably on grounds of cost.
