Not sure if anyone noticed~~ but there is a new ad banner advertising penny's world on the home screen and how you can win HD seeds~~
I have seen the Penny's banner but not one about Hot Date...
from what I have read we will be able to collect drop down GEMs again !!
- @lawmfw I saw it briefly then after that when i went back out into the home page again, it was gone... oh well....
Getting the same problems. Did what I could do for now at least. Glad I can actually post here, because for a while this forum was hanging too.
Good to know this is widespread. It'll get fixed soon enough as a result.
I want my Inzanity back! It was never about the rewards. Too often there are too many seeds for bogus plants. But Inzanity is the one thing we can play for sheer unadulterated enjoyment. To face an unknown challenge, evaluate it on the spot and then carefully select resources to deal with the as yet unknown dangers is more than reward enough itself. It's not grinding, it's the thrill of the unknown! Why would they take this away from us? WHY?
Every so often the rewards are decent - 10 or 15 useable seeds. And then, occasionally, the rewards are even better. On those days when you get 5 Bowling Bulb, 5 Primal Sun, 5 Winter Melon and 5 Hypno Shroom and then the box pops up saying you also get a bonus of 10 Fire Pea - well on those days, I start dancing naked in my pyjamas.
- @linuxPigPen i know...i feel you...i miss it a lot~~~ it has always been the game i played during my breakfast... me too... X( it was the only place that actually reward me a lot of blover seeds. I am actually very sad they removed it....
To me, I am also missing the 5 gems (for completion of this quest). ☹️

no events today (seeds) and no Daily Pinata Party either !!

I'm very surprised they would drop the Inzanity, Pinata Party daily, and the "defeat X Zombies" missions, two of those being ones that award Seed Packets! What kind of policy is it that trades old features for new ones when they get released? What is this obsession they have with limiting player progress so aggressively?
And don't tell me it's for the sake of profit, as though doing this is going to incite people to buy their loot boxes. People who refuse to gamble money will continue to do so, and this sort of thing will actually drive people off.
This really sounds like a death knell for PvZ2 to me...
On top of that, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the Restoring Purchases bug continues to terrorize the realm after the 7.9 update.
- @Amethytus I think the idea is that you will get seed packets from penny's world and there would be gems awarded possibly for playing that instead of PP~~ but we shall see what happens~~

I'm just glad I got my collection to 98% before this happened. At this point, I actually don't care what happens. I'm just an observer expressing disapproval.
- @Amethytus To be fair..i do like things the way they are with inzanity etc..but quite a lot of people are buzzing and looking forward to the new update. Several people have asked about the updates here, maybe a few posts down. Time will tell, whether the new update is good or not.

I agreed with you on this point. It is too soon to conclude anything without any clear evidence but just by observation. I suspect that pvz2 didn't generate as much revenue as they had expected, with different 'exploits' as EA calls them enabling players to get round buying resources and the resources doubling bug literally giving away hundreds of thousands of dollars (perhaps even millions) to an unknown but large number of players.
The restore purchases bug is actually pretty harmless and goes away of it's own accord, but has never been addressed by the devs.
There seems to be a growing number of angry pvz2 players who have 'lost' their profiles recently, have their player id number yet can't get their profiles restored, this is on top of the usual crop of players who don't have their player id number in a safe place and have the fun job of badgering EA HELP by email to manually research their player id numbers by hand.
Removing older features to add new features could also be a Memory Resource issue for many platforms to still be supported (revenue issues aside).
Time will tell about how the new features will compare to the old as far as a player's ability to collect resources needed to move along in PvZ2
Penny's Pursuit mentions collecting seeds for Premium plants so I hope there will be ways to also collect seeds for World plants.

Yes that is what I meant as I could get 27 gems per day before but now only 22.
With 10 profiles, this means I am 50 gems short. ☹️
I'm still trying to wrap my head around them upping the practice arena gems to 5 gems for the short tourns. That and the much higher gem and mint payouts for these shorter tournaments really more than compensate for the 5 gems lost on PP. I still think they should keep Inzanity. Yknow they could ask us what we think about some things.
