I was reading one of Tigerol's🐅 old posts and apparently peanut is classed as a defensive plant and so doesn't incur penalties when destroyed.
Rackman70 ( the closest person we know to a pvz2 scientist) took time off from his job polishing the large hadron collider to publish this list of powermints and the order they are supposed to come out in.
Rackman70's post on levelling up powermints, which should be put up for a nobel Prize imho. (If you read it please give it an upvote).
If you plant appeasemint to the left of torchwood then the giant peas it shoots become giant pea fireballs and hopefully do double damage, triple if the torchwood has a blue flame.
@MAGICDAVESHROOM Wow, this is a good find, certainly nice to watch even if the damage is not enhanced. Need some one with TW and appeasemint to try this out in Adventure mode to see and confirm if the big fire pea does do more damage.
- @eieio_31310 I'll be grinding Arena with Piglet in a couple of minutes. He's scoring between 650 and 800 depending on how well he guesses where to plant squash. I'll check this out and get back to y'all.
Appeasemint behind TW does shoot fireballs...how much damage is yet TBD
Piglet forgot to do it on his 1st run. But on the 2nd, it did indeed shoot a fireball which instantly killed the big Trogg trying to eat the TW. Piglet won the match with 690 so I don't know about difference in scoring. But it was fun to watch.
@linuxPigPen thank you for trying out and so it seems that TW does indeed enhance the big pea (and peas) from the mint as well. This will most certainly help players with low level plants.

I've been having trouble with ads (android) and i went to Google/ settings/ site settings/ ads (blocked on some sites) and changed it to ads allowed.
This worked and ads are now performing normally again..
Escape root takes too long to arm but if you plant an escape root where you need it to be you can use an already armed escape root to swap places with the unarmed one, which can finish arming in a safe place instead of being eaten.
If you're on a smartphone and have trouble getting to the first page in a long thread turn your phone from horizontal to vertical and the first post button will have room to pop up.
Basic Zombie values.
If you have an ad in between games, not a requested ad for GEMS or other rewards but the annoying ads that pop up, it seems, between each play -
- and the ad is going on forever, e.g. Gardenscapes (I wish I could kill that mummy's boy) or that really irritating Tattoo thing -
To get rid, click on the ad to make Google Play come up in a new tab, then close Google Play. The X for closing the ad will come up sharpish, and you're not stuck watching drivel for another 30 seconds.

1) turn off auto-update so you decide when to update a device
2) update one device at a time and make sure all is functional before updating the next device
3) For Arena, if you choose to wait to update then you will remain with the previous 'NEW' seedium plant but the downside is you do not get Daily Refresh or quests or the latest 'NEW' seedium plant (update only one device in order to receive the latest 'NEW' seedium plant)

Working on Shine Vine while I can. Not too high on it so far (Level 1 anyway) as it requires a companion plant be very effective IMHO.
Here an updated penalty list. Most information is based on my own experience and from testing. There is no guarantee that the list is 100% accurate 😉
Penalty list
- No penalty for Instants: Blover, Hurrikale, Cherry bomb, Jalapeno, Grapeshot, Bombegranate, Power Lily, Goldbloom, Solar tomato, Potato Mine, Primal Potato Mine, Escape Root, Stallia, Stunion, E.M.Peach, Iceberg Lettuce, Shrinking Violet, Lava Guava, Tile Turnip, Gravebuster, Intensive Carrot, Ice Bloom
- Nuts: Wall-nut, Tall-nut, Primal Wall-nut, Infi-nut, Explode-O-Nut, Pea-nut
- Defensive Plants: Chard Guard, Spring Bean, Holly Barrier, Endurian, Electric Currant (?), Pumpkin
- Consumables: Hypno-shroom, Garlic, Chili Bean, Shadow-shroom, Sun Bean, Hot Date, Sweet Potato, Torchwood, Electrici-Tea, Imp Pear
- Others Plants:
- Celery Stalker, Squash, Spikeweed, Spikerock
- Shadow Pea & Grimrose swallowing zombie and disappearing
- Ghost Pepper & Puff-Shroom are not counted as dying when they disappear on their own, so no penalty
- Plants produced by other plants have no penalty when they are eaten/killed: Witch Hazel, Spear-mint (Spikerocks), Spore-shroom (new Spore-shrooms), Zoybean (Zomboids)
- Power-mints disappearing
Miscellaneous:
- Gravebuster getting eaten before removing the grave causes a penalty
- Grimrose getting eaten by a lost pilot zombie causes a penalty
- No penalty when plants are destroyed by: Torchlight Zombie’s torch, Mecha-Football Zombie pushing plants off the lawn
- Parsnip's ability to rush down a lane when almost eaten does incur a penalty.
- Guacodile's ability to rush down a lane when almost eaten does incur a penalty.
- Ultomato in Boosterama events: If Ultomato is destroyed before it vanishes on its own you get a penalty. So don’t plant Ultomato under Cardio Zombie etc.
- Pyre Vine, Blastberry Vine, Shine Vine getting eaten does incur a penalty
If Zomboss launches a missile and it hits then a penalty will be incurred, either dig it up quickly or if you plantfood it then if the plant's plantfood animation is running and the missile hits then it won't be destroyed.

On your Home screen there is a banner for the "Springening" event with a "Play Event" button
Through this I am able to play the Pinata Party over and over again
This was a bug and I thought they have fixed it but obviously my thought was wrong.

Unfortunately it has now been replaced by the Auto Immune banner. But hey, both Big Pig n Piglet got slopped and levelled up.

Actually I'm glad it only lasted an hour. I had promised myself a day of actual life improvement during my confinement.
.(Can a guy say 'confinement'? Is that one of those words that would be misconstrued by our friends across the pond?)
