I don't have Torchwood, just dual power lilies with Peanut, with mostly level 4 plants and got smashed by this combo. Might try this person's strat but my plants are level 4 or below.

Hi all, been reading these forums the last couple of weeks and thanks for the video strats - they have been giving me inspiration! Thought I'd reply with someone else's strat. Just realised I don't have Gold Bloom so can't try to replicate this person's score.

You won't be able to get such a score with low level plants 😉 Usually strats that work for high level plants don't work (that good) for low level plants. This weeks tournament is extremely bad for low level plants, especially if you don't have Torchwood and Power Lily. What league are you in and what is your average score? It looks like the best non-Torchwood strategies for low level plants this week are based on Squash or Bowling Bulb.
The F2P strategy that works best for me is: Bowling Bulb, Tile Turnip, Appease-Mint, Bombard-Mint, and Conceal-Mint. Get up 4 Tiles with BB and use Plant Food on them.

Yeah, running into high level players will happen. Also, their strat is decent for their level, but unusable at lower levels. I mean it can, be but expect to be run over 😂

I just wanted to get my second FREE Play for the day and just loaded the plants I was using for Ancient Egypt World Pinata Tracker and said Let's Play...putting down Spearmint when available and not paying attention to my opps score

Yeah, Im sure a ton of low levels are getting wrecked by the Dinobots cheesy attacks and massive summons. Gotta find a good strat for their plants.
I wonder how many 'returning' players (10 year anniversary) know about this EA Forum, Fandom, or Reddit ?
Took me inquiring to EA about an account problem a few years ago to learn about the EA Forum and then learn about Fandom and Reddit via the EA Forum !
Perhaps EA should put a note in the Travel Log to point players to the EA Forum ?
@PowerToss Almost 2.2M! An incredible score with entry level F2P plants. Thanks for given us an excellent strategy.
I have to admit due to the high sun cost with low level plants, I have never considered using a strategy without sun generation, I must say you are brave and surely this has produced wonderful results.

EDIT: add F2P to above as with premiums the score can get much much higher.

Ahh that makes sense with them being higher level. It was sadly a curveball of a match with the other person outclassing me.
I have purchased a few plants, not Torchwood sadly. I miss him from PvZ1. Crazily I am in Jade league - buying up some pinatas with my gems whilst I'm here. My scores range from 2.3mil to 4.5mil so I am not very consistent. Win roughly 7 out of 10 battlez. I'm pretty new in terms of mints. I started replaying PvZ2 around Easter and that was when I was forced to do an update and saw all this fancy new levels for plants. I didn't know what Battlez was and only tried it when I saw this new plant Zoybean being introduced, so only now have Fila-mint and Reinforce-mint.
My strat currently is Peanut (4), Bowling Bulb (4), Power Lily 👿, imitated and reinforce-mint.
I've also tried Peanut, Hurrikale, Power Lily, imitated and reinforce-mint yielding scores consistently between 1.9-3.5mil.
I do like the sound of tiling up BB and letting him loose on Zomboss! Thanks for the tip! 🙂
I was reading Reddit (after I got past the gazillionth meme) and saw a link back to this level 1 mini forum which had me intrigued and followed it here since I have no Mastery plants or some of the purchased plants for Battlez. If it wasn't for Reddit I wouldn't have found it. In fact I think it was one of your @lawmfw post or @FantastiXxPVZ that led me here.

This evening I ended up playing against a replay of another player with level 1 plants. I feel kind of sorry for him/her (or the bot). I can't remember facing someone with Level 1 plants in Jade League. More people should read this forum/thread! 😉

I post a link to this forum for every Level 1 video I post. Sadly, because it's a relatively new channel I have no subscribers, but I see hundreds of views, so that's cool. 😊👍
My strategy for next week. Should be a decent score for low level plants. Just hope that the Primal Potato Mines don't land too "awkwardly" (EDIT: Plant Sunshrooms where you don't want them to land R1 and R5). I'm new to the pause/surrender thing and always forget it...so I'm already out of practice matches 🙂

Not sure I have that mint...I'll try dual PPM and Tile Turnip (TT)
I have been using Spearmint with TT, Jalapeno, Sun-shroom, Bowling Bulb (best choice so far) but not yet 200k for Level 1 plants
Yeti nets you 60,000
Modern Day plants, Blover, Hurikale, Conceal-mint, are all Bruised this coming week
Now I have a level 1 Bombard-mint ! Much to learn how to use it effectively though.
Not my best effort but I was ahead until the final 10 seconds. My opp had a Yeti that I did not ?
Yea, I wanted to try a Bowling Bulb strat as well: Appease-Mint, Primal Potato Mine (imitated), Tile Turnip, Sunshroom. But I'm not sure if you'll have enough sun to tile up and plant BBs.
I don't think my strategy works without Bombard-Mint. You need it to kill the first (5?) zombies with it. Otherwise you won't be able to tile up the PPMs.
I usually just launch a lawn mower when I see a Yeti...he is just too strong 🙂
Yeti did take quite a bit to kill with level 1 plants !
And yes, I have yet to be successful without Bombard-mint.
Trying Spearmint with Dual PPM but not lucky yet.
Getting rid of the first five quickly does seem to be critical...
How does Spearmint work? Do you dig up the Spikerocks at some point? Otherwise you occupy all the good spots for the PPMs.
I think that our Level 1 Plants can break 1M with Tile Turnip and PPMs, we will see 🙂
Yes, pull up a few to plant PPMs plus it provides extra SUN. 1M would be nice...I am no where near that. YET !

Nice! Thank you for the video! Exactly how I play it 🙂 Also, nice timing on the first Bombard-Mint. I didn't know you can plant it that early. I think when you get a little bit lucky and somehow trigger a wave of zombies faster 1 M with level 1 plants is possible. The score goes up drastically in the last 20 seconds. Let's see who will get lucky first.
Enlighten-mint is going to light up something...just not the scores this week.
Bombard-mint is critical for success...I am going to try Bowling Bulb again along with Bombard-mint since I found Bowling Bulb did well in Practice (248K without Bombard-mint) but not as high as this score !

1M may be possible as my best score I did vanquish one Yeti and was about to finish a second as the clock expired
I knew it was possible to score 1M with level 1 plants!!! I was so close to 1M a couple of time (900k+) and then in one game I had perfect RNG and got 1.3M (LOL)! All mines landed and exploded perfectly. I know there is a lot of luck involved but I really didn't think you could get a score that high with level 1 plants 🙂 And it is also a F2P strategy. I replaced Imitator with Cherry Bomb to trigger more waves of zombies earlier. The average score is about the same for both strategies. But I feel like Cherry Bomb is more "risky". Anyway, both strategies hold up very well!
@lawmfw If you have a Mastery Blover you should try a Primal Peashooter/Chard Guard/Reinforce-Mint strategy. This should easily score over 1M.
