@HenryThePear Actually, I have played a few games just now and found 1.5M is good enough for 7 wins, so with high level plants, one would find this week's tournament very easy. 👿

You won't be able to get such a score with low level plants 😉 Usually strats that work for high level plants don't work (that good) for low level plants. This weeks tournament is extremely bad for low level plants, especially if you don't have Torchwood and Power Lily. What league are you in and what is your average score? It looks like the best non-Torchwood strategies for low level plants this week are based on Squash or Bowling Bulb.
The F2P strategy that works best for me is: Bowling Bulb, Tile Turnip, Appease-Mint, Bombard-Mint, and Conceal-Mint. Get up 4 Tiles with BB and use Plant Food on them.
@PowerToss Almost 2.2M! An incredible score with entry level F2P plants. Thanks for given us an excellent strategy.
I have to admit due to the high sun cost with low level plants, I have never considered using a strategy without sun generation, I must say you are brave and surely this has produced wonderful results.

EDIT: add F2P to above as with premiums the score can get much much higher.
