@lawmfw I think Toadstool could work if you are able to plant them in the yellow zone...otherwise TS pulls them in a lower scoring zone :/
@HenryThePear Try a similar to mine but with Sqaush/Hurrikale instead of imitator against the Jetpacks. Use all your Plant Food to recharge Caulipower right at the start (when you have the suns for it).
@HenryThePear Doesn't really matter that much...a Garg hypnotized by a level1 Caulipower is as good as a Garg hypnotized by a level 10 Cauli.
@PowerToss Any luck with Grimrose powered by MF? Still haven't had a chance to try yet.
@RogueYumei Good idea. Grimrose might work. But I'm out of practice matches...after 20+ matches I got too frustrated and just picked up the Mints for completing the practice matches. This plant which shape indicates that it has a BIG BRAIN hypnotizes a basic zombie even though there are 5 Gargs on the lawn.
EDIT: Oh I looked up the fandom page...the chance to hypnotize a Garg is only 5% at level 1 whereas the change to hypnotize a basic zombie is 55%. I didn't know that :/
I do not have Enchant-mint in my Level 1 profile either. I have yet to break 1M with Cauli/Witch Hazel but most likely due to not having Enchant-mint. L1 Hurikale was working OK to fend off Jetpacks.
L1 Laser Bean and Apple Mortar also not reaching 1M score...need faster way to clear waves so will investigate explosive plants along with Bombard-mint and Conceal-mint.
Might be a good three days to rest afterall !!

I don't know how good Bombard-mint family plants work this tournament because they are bruised. EA really wants us to use Caulipower^^
Caulipower will hypnotise gargs but they are low priority so you need to clear the lower scoring ones away.

This is the highest score I could get. It is totally luck based because the White Broccoli hypnotizes whatever he wants. My second highest score is "only" 2.1M and my lowest ~1M...so the RNG is real^^ In Jade League you almost get 100k for a Garg that gets hypnotized in the final few seconds (if you didn't get a penalty).

Fume-shroom will act like Hurikale with Plant Food...a possible F2P attempt with Hurikale.
I tried a few Practice attempts without Hurikale and the Jetpacks just keep triggering lawnmowers. Grrr
@RogueYumei The devs didn't use any mints^^ Conceal-mint worked quite well for me...you get more sun from the Moonflower, it gets rid of the zombies so Cauli can hypnotize Gargs and in addition you get scores for the helmets of the zombies.
I'm missing out on these mints on my mid level profile, too. I have to figure out a F2P mint-less strategy for my mid level profile tomorrow^^

Here a tip against the nasty pilot zombies: The first (I think) three waves of pilots don't land on C1 and C2. Only waves after that can go down on C1 and C2. So try to get a layout where Cauli is on C1, Moonflower on C2, and Shadow-Pea on C3. During the game you can dig up some MFs and replace them with Cauli.
I start with one Cauli and 10 MFs on C2 and C3. I replace the MFs on C3 with Shadow-Pea before the first pilots drop down. But I think you need Conceal-mint for that to work :/

I was hoping I could get a Laserbean based strategy to work with Level 1 Plants in the Boosterama. But it is impossible to avoid penalties. But at least there is an alternative strategy that works okay-ish.
