I'm so sorry you're having trouble with the game on your Android device! Did you know that if you sign into your Google+ account on the game's main menu, your progress will sync to your Google+ account? That will allow you to recover progress from the last sync point in the event of an uninstall/reinstall.

Are you ever going to acknowledge that there is a problem with the latest release and that it's going to be fixed soon? Several people have complained about exactly this behavior (splash screen, exit to Android home screen) on Google Play and in this forum after the release of the Far Future and Zen Garden update so that it's not likely an isolated issue.
My wife has a crashed copy of the game on her tablet as well which we didn't try to troubleshoot so far out of fear of losing the progress and money spent on gems, hoping that there will be a working version soon.

they did it again lost 400000 coins and in game bought plants with diamonds.

In their shop 40000 coins is €200 so outrages that they just with a sloppy update destroid our progress and money.

Just steal their money and progress so they have to start over again.
To help us start playing your game and reading your stupid in game adds, that is where you earn your money.
give away more and stop charching for money which you (EA) value as high as to nothing because you (EA) wipes it the first chance they get.

I have a similar problem. PVZ2 has deleted my original save data, and 3 attempts at starting over at this point. I am already logged into my google plus account, and the game remembers my achievements, but seems to forget that I have ever played the game before (periodically it asks me to enter my name to create a profile, and all of my data will then be gone).
What can we do to fix this?

Joe Someone needs to step up and answer here, this is pathetic. Neither Google + nor Google Games have my profile, it just vanished after a forced reboot due to this game crashing yet again. Every other time it's crashed I have been able to recover, but this time, no. Some of my plants came back, but anything bought with gems is gone, as is all my progress through the latest level, hundreds of levels on the endless levels and all coins and gems except the some that for some reason did resynch. Do I seriously have to play all this over? I don't mind that, but I DO mind having to rebuy all my stuff. Come on EA, you are richer than God, maybe take care of your customers that made you so.
I have the exact same issue, but it's my account that was wiped. So sure, I can log into my account, but it's at the beginning as if I'd never played and never bought things, when I have Order receipts verifying that I had made purchases back. Am I actually screwed, or can my account and/or purchases be restored?
I have the same issue as well. I have tried signout and sign in again to with my google+ account but still not help. Please assists. I'm very sure I've completed all level (please refer attachment) but out of sudden all gone. I've been playing since 2014. Please help as i have tried many ways, please help to restore my data as at 23 Oct 2015 progress or any day earlier. Thanks!

I have the same problem, my game keeps on crashing or will exit to the main menu of my tablet. Then just this day i was playing and it crashed, when I restart the game, all my data is gone as if i started a new game. i tried, uninstalling-reinstalling 3x already yet, all my saved game is gone. what's left are the profile I made when I reinstall... I am so disappointed.
Has anybody actually manage to solve this problem? This is extremely frustrating.

I didn't do anything on my phone, and pvz2 didn't restart or hung up. One day, I just opened it with no WiFi and all of a sudden, the screen for new game loaded up..... I tried running it with WiFi, but still no progress.... Can you help me recover it????
