Okay, so I had some time to test Pokra. It can work pretty well but can go horribly wrong. When the ZDL drops too low your plants will be gone in the blink of an eye because Zombies land on the flame tiles. In case this doesn't happen you can get a very good score: https://streamable.com/rfddv1
@HypnoDjurre I don't think this will work in practice matches since the Zombies might have Soil League Level.

Yeah, nice score, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, the Pokra Bolt and Citron would cause alot of deaths on tiles. They'll be scrambling to recover all the time.

I tried with Darti, Citron, in practice. It went smoothly for a good long while. Then I got flamed once or twice, but I think not more than that. I decided to use Citron in real Arena, and got flamed once or twice after about two minutes playing approximately. Still using this strat for now, since it still gives good score despite the flame, but still trying to experiment with other plants as well. Only lost to Wasabi Whip strat so far.

Started good, but then the flames came, lots of flames, almost my entire board wiped, lots of rebuilding, especially my sun production suffered
But the end score agrees
Getting 14 Zomboss kills on average (5.6-5.8m)
15 kills gives 6.5-6.6m

You have to defeat the Zomboss x10 with Ultomato and Citron before using the first Fila-mint (without the Zomboss doing one of his animation)...that's the tough part.
After many tries
Didn't use Fila-mint until the last 60-50 seconds
The 17th Zomboss healthbar was empty too!!
But didn't switch over *sniff*

@HypnoDjurre Hehe. Congratz! I know how hard it is to pull off 16 Zomboss defeats. I rage quited so many times before I finally got it. The x2 gauntlets saved me from spending too many gauntlets^^
I don't even think the 17th Zomboss health bar can switch because he has to move first before it switches. 16 defeats is basically the perfect run for mid level plants unless there is a way to prevent the Zomboss from doing his first animation at the start.
High/Mastery Plants can defeat him 21x but only because they don't slow him down with Pokra.

Any idea what triggers Zomboss to flame your lanes? Or is it completely RNG?
I have the feeling that if I hit the Zomboss too hard quickly (like using mints and/or plant food early into the game), it could trigger Zomboss' flame.
With Tile-turnip+Wasabi strat, it doesn't seem to be a problem since their PFEs quickly stop the Zomboss before it flames you, or gives immunity to the Wasabis (not sure, I guess). But with a single quick PFE shot, like Citron's, it's likely a miss when the Zomboss is ready to flame you.
I'm thinking about carefully gradually reducing the Zomboss' health, so as not to hit him hard in a quick manner, if it really is the trigger. But I'm not sure if that's the case at all.

i don't think there is anything controls the wildfire. they are completely random... the wasabi whip strategy is not completely invulnerable at all.
Anything hitting one of those buttons at the back triggers a lane flame, Zomboss is also dropping sacks of sand on them.
Yup, I mean the ones where Zomboss drops those sacks. I wonder if they're completely random, or somehow programmed to have something to do with how we attacked the Zomboss.
In my case, sometimes the whole game Zomboss didn't drop any sacks, other times (which I suspect related to how I attacked him) he dropped sacks very early in the game, sometimes very late. Kind of rarely mid-game now that I think about it.
I find it strange since my strat is the type that can't keep making the Zomboss stunned. Yet in one game, he didn't drop any sacks even though I let him roam free. In other game, he dropped the sacks early, after I used filamint on him. I seem to have a higher chance of not getting flamed when I don't use filamint too early. And I've also tried not using filamint or other attacking mints at all, and not getting flamed. I don't know if it's just a coincidence.
This flaming and sack dropping can be rage inducing sometimes. Especially when he target more than two lanes in quick succession. He used to be less aggressive in the first few days 😑
Oh my, I've had the exact same scenario. It happened early so I had the chance to replant everything, but doing so ever so lazily, kind of killed my enthusiasm to continue the game, lol. Luckily my opponent at the time was also a slow scorer.
