Which one do you mean?
Not tumbleweed, right?
RIGHT?
- @abdolarngamer Jack of Lantern..... 😉 but tumbleweed quest first level had me swearing alright... xDDD
Big Pig just played a mild and a spicy Zomboss and did not get Pokra seeds for either. Hmmm
@linuxPigPen Have you done all three Zomboss fights?
For me, Pokra seeds are on the hard levels on the 2nd and 3rd zomboss fights.
- Reached Lvl 24, found out that you can unlock but not upgrade Porka when you loot the levels with it's seeds.
- Gonna take those. I don't have strong plants but I have enough coins to use power toss to get all 100 Porka Seeds.
Don't know if it was because it was early in the morning. Don't know if it's because I'm out of chocolate for my coffee. Don't know if it's because I'm craving a more laid back lifestyle. Whatever. Zomboss Extra Spicy is more than my poor old head can handle. Jayzeus. I lasted 2 minutes only because of tossing. Have no clue if I depleted even one life bar. That crap is just faster than I can process. NO MAS!
@linuxPigPenMaybe the zomboss had your coffee and chocolate too..... i played easy and i keep forgetting to plant @PowerToss ..... the zomboss went mad...i went mad....
- @Perfume-shroom92 I was doing this as a test run to see if Piglet could get Pokra. But if Big Pig had this much trouble, I'm not sure I should invest my time. I mean Big Pig is level 9 - 13 and Piglet is a 3 - 5. I've got some extra fuel so I'll try Big Pig again tomorrow and see if I can find a strat that might work for weaker plants too.
- @linuxPigPen The trick is to have the plant food perk and kept on using blover+ reinforce mint with BB and the occasional appease mint... but fact is blover really needs to be constantly on to blow away all those 'little annoying robots' that keeps dropping down (and i keep forgetting...)

What really makes it pure insane is the zombie toughness. If I guess it right, the normal zombie in extra spicy difficulty health is multiplied by 10x times the health the normal zombie has! Pretty sure this goes for the eating damage, too. So a normal zombie can drill into your defenses easily! So, if you don't have at LEAST ONE insta-kill in extra spicy levels then R.I.P. I managed to deplete 10 bars in extra spicy zomboss battle and only used power toss once. 😉
@linuxPigPenThe recent change in PP makes it much harder for low level plants to play the spicy (3 chilies) levels.
I have tried a few times with my level 1 plants but so far without joy,
Now the good news is that if you are after Pokra seeds, there will be a Pokra tournament next week so I guess this would be a much easier option.

Try Appease-mint, Blover, R-mint, Bowling Bulb, Shine Vine, Enlighten-mint. I start with 3 BB and use the rest of the sun for SV. Also, wait ~20sec before you hit Let's Rock to get the burst of sun immediately. Plant Food is used to refresh R-mint and excessive PF is used on yellow tiles when they appear. Plant Appease-mint when ever it is recharged and don't forget to spam Blover 😉 Perk: Plant Food Perk - Level 2.
I usually have ~20-30sec to spare with level 1 plants.
You should post that on reddit.

.......... I start with 3 BB and use the rest of the sun for SV....Ah that might be what I have done wrong since I use similar plants, I start with 5x BBs on the yellow tiles, this works 100% for easy with 4 gems and occasionally 5
With medium difficulty, I get to win but often only with 1 or two gems, a little more coins than easy setting but I prefer gems.
With hard difficulty, I either get 0 gems or overwhelmed with bug bot imps.
No! NO! I was so close to win! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
You have enough gems to hire the sherrif
Have they nerfed the plants in PP? I was playing I think #8 last night with the Citrons and the LB and I couldn't kill anything! Even a Citron with plant food wouldn't take out one of those nibbler machines. Big Pig has good Modern Day plamts. This should have been a cakewalk.
I've been using peanut, 2x power lily, reinforcemint and blover.
This works well on max difficulty, I think the zombies are tougher.
- @linuxPigPen They have increased the zombies difficulty in Penny's this time..... I hate it...even on easy, citron's plant food can't take out the machines in one go...it takes about 2 plant food effect which i thought is just plain ridiculous....
Probably a boring strat, but I kept using Bass Blast perk + Blover or Reinforcemint + Blover in almost every level without locked plants/belt.
I also used Imp Pear's PFE and took advantage of the power tiles (also brought Power Lily just in case) to significantly reduce the zombies' health so that my Pokra can easily defeat them.
Imp Pear is also useful in the don't spend suns level, and can kill a zombie by putting two IPs in front of them, especially in the beginning while preparing your defense.
In the case of locked plants or conveyor belts, duh, I just played Endless first to collect power ups, lol. Thankfully my plants levels are high enough to be able to beat locked plants/belt level without having to use power ups. That, except level 17 aka the legendary Magnifying Grass level, where I just spammed power toss.
- @ForestOutlook Even with my maxed level MG it took like 6-7 taps just to kill an imp in 3 chilly, which is too ridiculous...
Dang, that's one buff Imp. I regretted that I actually care about preparing the (boosted) twin suns and the sunflos to hoard some suns. I ended up being too busy spam-tapping MG to kill one cone zombie, while the suns are spreading uncollected. Felt too hard even for 3 chillies. I lost count how many times I had to tap the MG to kill one bucket zombie (if I managed to kill him at all, before resorting to power toss).
The devs seem to have gone too far this time. It looks like the devs are still experimenting (if not confused about) Penny's difficulty.
After the discussion about level 17, I decided to give it a try with level 1 plants 😛 https://streamable.com/hyr840
Haha, that's so cool.
I might've been allergic to MG first that I'd rather not stay too long in that level 🤣
Stand corrected, I guess I'm giving kudos to the devs this time, heh.
