Agreed very difficult. I would pick headbutter lettuce hands down if it went 2 instead of 1 spot ahead like pokra/wasabi whip/parsnip. It does so much damage in one shot and it’s fast, I’m still torn. I think boingsetta has tremendous potential but haven’t seen what it can do at higher levels yet. It’s about time there’s a frozen plant that kicks a$$.

My pick right now would be explode o vine. It packs a good pop going down and when it’s eaten. Doesn’t take up a space so it can work in conjunction with something else like chard guard for blover strats while also protecting whatever it’s with. (pops big zombies up too if your Blover is a blowin, they’ll be a flyin)

I reserve the right to change my mind if boingsetta turns out super effective.

Honorable mention to Dartichoke (this year?), puffball and you gotta love Turkey-Pult.

  • Great topic!

    Ice Bloom?

    Ultomato

    Blooming Heart

    Dartichoke

    Shine Vine

    Gumnut

    Tumbleweed

    Olive Pit

    Puffball

    Explode-O-Vine

    Murkadamia Nut

    Turkey Pult

    Headbutter Lettuce

    Boingsetta

From that selection, hands down, both Vines

I use SV and EoV all the time

In Adventure, Penny, Arena, Epic Quests ...

My HBL is only lvl1 do can't really judge it

It does sound strong, and yeah, if only it could reach 2 spaces

When it's not opportune to use Pokra, it could be the replacement (altho I still hope Wasabi Whip will become free, or Parsnip)

Boingsetta does sound awesome, in it's Quest it did feel very strong  but I haven't played with it more

Ah yeah, and Turkey Pult, so awesome

Those are the 3 plants I use everywhere now

SV and TP in the back, Pokra up front

    Throw in an Enlighten-mint and a Spear-mint

Mix with some EoV where needed

    Who's gonna stop that??

imo, EoV and TP are made a bit too strong

    Like Pokra

Wow this is a very nice and comprehensive explanation also with an awesome strategy which has all areas covered.  Now I am wondering when the Devs will allow the Digger zombies to join PVZ2 for fun.....  👿

  • I really like the vines, released the year, the most. Shine Vine and Explode-O-Vine are definitely winners imo.

I'm NOT voting for Bong Sitter. I don't even know what it does. I now have a level 4 Cracker Jack prize.

It makes graves, surfboards, chickens, weasels, octopus and weaken imps disappear, while other zombies bounce back and turn blue when planted, it is most effective under influence of plantfood.  A good companion with Imp Pear and Tile turnips or power tiles and I think it will be quite useful in boosterama.

@eieio_31310I did notice the Blover n Reinforce Mint problem with it.

Would it be better planted up front or back row?

Yes, currently there is a bug that Boingsetta removes the Blover effect once it is used. (I believe EA devs have been notified).

For last week's tournament, I just drop it near to the front and dig up if there is a risks of being eaten or kicked.
