Re: Sharing your Battlez experiences

This is "that-will-teach-them-to-buy-mints-when-they-had-the-chance" week.

The best I've done this week is 647,000ish and i used bombardmint in most of my matches.

My best scores come from using my 3 plantfood on primal mines to generate 2 more instantly primed mines in the highscore zone. I instantly use bombardmint L2 to clear the ice and i have a few seconds at the end for another use.

I had my best Battlez week EVER during the Escape Root tournament. (This was despite originally thinking the setup looked like a total nightmare at first sight.)

It seemed like I made the perfect plants selection right from the start and just kept on winning and winning.

I used the Escape Root - Primal Potato Mine - Tile Turnip - Power Lily - Grapeshot and the Bombard Mint.

I did notice that there were wild fluctuations in my scores, however. I had a top score of just over 940,000, and a low score of only 233,000. HOW can scores vary by SO much while using the same plants and method each time?

I lost only 2 matches all week and won my Silver League by a veritable mile. In doing so I also managed to really ramp up the levels of many of my plants. (I WOULD post an image of my league position and Crowns total, but will only do so if requested as I don't want to be accused of bragging.)

It just goes to show that SOME of the Mint Plants CAN be pretty powerful under the right conditions.

At the start of the week i was using apple mortar to slow the zombies down while my primal mines armed then halfway through the week i cottoned onto the fact that too many apple mortars were slowing them down too much so i changed my strategy to plantfooding primal mines and i increased my score by about 100,000 per match. I only used those 2 strategies all week and noticed a huge difference in scores which puzzles me.

I found the whole point of the map was to get the Zombies to come out as quickly as possible and walk onto mines, but they STILL seemed to take forever at times.

Seeing an entire column 9 fully loaded with Primal Potato Mines with just a few seconds remaining while the Zombies seemed to be on a go slow could be most frustrating.

I can only imagine how slow the Zombies became while being constantly peppered by Apple Cores.

It did seem to work because it only takes 1 zombie to set off a primal mine (mine are level 3) but plantfooding primal mines was far more effective.

This week seems to be the week of the chickens, still developing a layout for this week. How about you guys?

I am not sure if you have experience this, but on some battlez especially the ones with mints rewards, sometimes towards the last 15 seconds, the zombies are seemed to be walking out at a slower pace so if you have a  row of mines on columns 8, they would not have been triggered.

I think this should not call a PvP game as there are many recent evident suggest we are playing against a computer program (I call it bots, EA call it an algorithm and some call it a cheating b******).

I used the same setup and same game-play against different waves (groups) of zombies joining the party but there seems to be varied hugely, with my level 1 plants, highest is over 400K and lowest is 150K.

With high level plants, my highest was over 800K and lowest win was less than 250K.

For your information, there was a few games I played (with my low level plants) using the bots method, this is by shadowing the opponent's score and I have managed to get a lowest wining score of 17K.

This week's gold bloom Battlez I remember vividly, this is because I played over 600 games at week 1 and had acquired more than 3000 crowns to secure a (world) number 1 position (well at least that is what I was assuming but then my world dominating dream got shattered just like some of my game mates did when they had the misfortune of finding out the facts), the recent banning of Blover and forcing player to pay money to get high score is not something I like to support so I might give this game mode a rest from now until something better is introduced.

I am not surprised they removed Blover. It was a plant that EVERYBODY could use (ie non-credit card players).

Now, broken pay-to-win plants like $ Calipower are even MORE powerful with the removal of Blover. But oh wait, they didn't remove the primary CASH-COW from battlez for some odd reason. LOL

There is a wide spread of resentment from the players about removal of Blover in Battlez, but I guess they need to put in more efforts to keep the high score winnings exclusively to players who are willing to pay, after all they are running a business and not a charity.

Personally I'm not bovvered about blover being removed because i didn't use it as i wasn't a fan (boom boom) and didn't know how effective it is and now i know I'm using all my daily pinatas to get them to level 5 asap.

The slap in the face is.... a lot of people put a lot of gems, time, and even money into trying to get blover upgraded for Battelz. Only to have it removed after all that effort.

I think they have a right to be furious lol.

Now they have to send gems on other plants. That’s how they get your money.
