Both Primal Potato Mine and Chard Guard can be used. 

for me, CG is more predictable and it also works with Blover.

If you use Primal Potato Mines, then you need to save some plant food for it to make it effective.

Actual I am having a second thought, if you use PPM, it might work better with Bombard-mint.  Will give this combo a go on my next free play.

When Blover is back, it’s time to combine it with Primal Peashooter. The other plants I choosed are PPM, Bombard-mint and a must-used sun producing plant. And it amazes me when I broke 1M mark

I've played around 45 matches so far and the best i have done so far is 1,378,950 using plants with 30xp.

It seems (to me) there are 2 ways to play this, primal peashooter/ blover or caulipower/ electric blueberry. I'm not very good with blover and he's taking ages to get to L5 so I'm going to stick with cp/eb which usually gets me around the one million mark- unless anyone has any better ideas.  Either way some plants usually end up frozen.

@Cogakhoaisan  Thank you for sharing, your plant selection is exactly what I had in mind as I mentioned in my previous post.  It certainly seems to work better for getting a good score.

@MAGICDAVESHROOM  I use the Pepper-pult to keep my plants from frozen and the leveled up plants seems to do the job well where as the range and warm up time on a level 1 Pepper-pult is less useful. 

To me, the purpose of playing Battlez is to gain game playing skill and candies (gems coins etc...), I do not mind losing to a better player sine I can learn from my own mistake and or their gaming skills.  I also do not mind playing against a computer program either, this is why I finished the Adventure mode.  What I do not like is being tricked into thinking I am playing against another player while in fact it is just a computer program.

This is my worst loss so far, apparently a genuine player as it doesn't have the hallmarks of an "EAbot".

I tried it a few times but could only get about half his score so i went back to cp/eb with double goldboom.

Yes it was on a mint reward.

Found out the hard way, that when the book says "warms nearby plant" what that really means is only the plant to the left and right in a single lane.

That said, maybe it's just my bracket, but Jade league seems to be a joke in comparison to the gold players I had last week. Maybe it's because the unorthodox style this week has too many people confused when trying to play the same ordered style they were once used to.

Depends on the plants and level I guess.
For example, 1 Pepper-pult can wam up a whole line of plants if placed next to it, in the middle. (see level 5 of Frosbite Cave world for example)

And yes last week, the setup was quite easy, once you had a good tactic, you just had to repeat it again angd again.
This week, there are so many things that can screw your game plan (potion popping up where it should  not be, quicker and biger zombies, snowstorms) so even with a good strategy, it's more difficult to be always efficient.

I've always found pepperpult to warm all 8 tiles touching him. (See fandom article).

Fandom also mentions the warming radius increasing as his level gets higher. (Under upgrades).

Try the frostbite caves Level 12.

I gave up on trying to melt anything. Level 3 Pult, and anything that freezes on a different row, never melts before the game ends.  

I guess the ice in Battlez also has increased hitpoints to melt than adventure...

I've stopped bothering to try thawing plants but try primal mine explosions and/or apple mortars sometimes do the trick. Mine's L4

If there’s no EAbot then your opponent is really a talent as he has the same setup as mine with less experience points (17 vs 19) but he scored a much  higher than me.

If there is one thing I have become more curious about, it's how the de-thawing mechanics work. Particularly with the hidden Battelz modifiers.

Maybe higher level plants also de-thaw out quicker...

Kinda sucks how hot-potatoe is removed... when this is literally the ONLY time one would want to bring in this most unused plant (ok, intensive Carrot is arguably just as bad). 

Hot potatoe can remove octopus at some point (which as not in game logic but anyways) 😛
My pepper pult is level 7 (thanks for the Pinatas to get Chard Guard seeds !) and I have no issue with snowstorm tbh

FYI if you have a maxed out Pepper-pult (level 15) you will only need one on the center of the screen as it has enough range to cover the area thus no plants will be frozen.

@BBnot8  I think Hot-Potato gains remove optopus ability at level 5 and yes i do use it in the Big Wave Beach games.

you have given me an idea, instead of Pepper-pult, I might try using Dust Lobber to blast the frosted plants instead, it might work but might also cost me my streak. Would be able to find out in about 3 hours time.  👿

Yes at level 5, but since I have finished BWB games, I don't really need it anymore and I don't want to spend 20k coins to upgrade this useless plant 😞

@eieio_31310I actually played a game with dust lobber instead of ppeper-pult by mistake and actually the result was surprisingly pretty good so  it may be a good option

Well thanks to the almanac for not mentioning any of this on their "Special" tutorial text.

But since I finished big wave... it's a bit too late now anyhow.

One day you may want to re-play BWB then it may be useful.

I tried to do it without any warming plants and all my sun producing plants were frozen and have no sun to fight...

I lost in a big way.  I got less than half of my highest.  ☹️

Give a look to Pvz wiki, there are all the stats of plants, how many seeds you need to upgrade them, how many damages they do etc 🙂

I had a real horror show this morning. Woke up and went to play a free battlez... I should have waited till my eyes were open. I thought useless INTENSIVE CARROT was the Jalepeno....

Figured it out too late during play.

Lesson learned the hard way, lost a decent streak too because of it.
