I'm still getting them as stream rewards.
OK. 1.78M for a new high score for me this week. MagicDave was correct that SUN will continue to be produced until the first MINT is used on the lawn !! I started holding off on using a MINT until the final 30 seconds and I am able to add more plants to the lawn...Bowling Bulbs, Squash, Escape Roots (M129 and rising from M47), Grapeshot, and jalepenos
top and bottom C8 & C9 I am placing Squash in C9 and an Escape Root behind it to protect from a huge Zombie wave
Grapeshot in the middle (when I can find a C9 spot not blocked by a surf board !) at the start of a Zombie Wave
Concealmints (4 total) in the final 30 seconds (using Plant Food) which really rockets the score up quickly !!
A few times I have given my opps a 30 second or even a minute head start and had to play catch up at the very end....closest was a 1,350 point victory at just over 1M score
Yep. I haven't been keeping count, but I've had a sufficient number of Dandelion pinatas popping up for it to become noticeable.
Still showing up in pinata Party as well instead of Escape Root.
Update: best score is now 1.79M
I have been finding luck with Sun Bean this week. Just stick one in front of the non-frozen Sun Shroom, then use an Escape Root to get an explosive that will blow all of the Sun out of the Zombie that is unlucky to spawn in the middle. Easy starting Sun.
I managed to get up to a 10 Winning Streak, which tells me that other people are having trouble with this week’s Battlez.
How are you guys getting 1.5 million? I am struggling to get 150k...

Primal potato mine and imitator at c9, r3
I stopped using Primal Potato Mine and replaced with jalepeno - I also use Grapeshot (M158) in the row 3 C8/C9 depends upon Surf Boards !!
Squash (M82) /Escape Root (M140) combo in top and bottom rows at C8 and C9 (Squash)
I get a consistent easy 1.2m with bowling bulb, 2x primal mine, sapfling and cold snapdragon.
A ppm will wipe out the entire wave and a grapeshot won't🍇
My Bowling Bulbs do just fine. They look mighty fine too !! he he he

I finally reached 200 mastery on Escape Root - but will I keep getting seeds for them at this point, or is it just random seeds every time?

You will keep on getting them, especially in the explosive pinatas, I've just got a 740 seed escape root pinata and i reached m200 sunday.💥

I'm grinding away as fast as I can (playing in fast mode) with my current streak to accumulate as many seeds as possible before I kiss it goodbye - currently @ 1286
Congrats on the long streak mark !! I am back in the x7 multiplier (streaked thru x4,x5,x6 this week) and over 1500 crowns too - screenshot of my latest high score

Strange thing about sunshrooms, sun production was variable then i stopped using powermints and they all produced lots of sun🌞, i tried it with bombardmint, spearmint, appeasemint, enchantmint and concealmint and they all cut back on sun production so i would guess that ANY powermint has a negative effect.

200 Crowns (40 wins) to unlock Zoybean Pod.
I kept my meager, low win streak with the update. Immediately lost it in the first match... Wasn’t worth the 10 Gems to save.

Sorry, no video. just learning how to do screenshots !! Trying to upload screenshot midgame but it is not working. I have Mastery plants so I can plant 4 Cualis in the far left column and six MoonFlowers in a checkerboard pattern in Column 4 & 5 so I can then plant Dusk Lobbers in C4, C5, C6 once the clock starts. After starting the clock I place down Spearmint so I have two rows of Spikerocks in C8 & C9...add Caulis whenever available in C1 and C2 and fill in C4, C5, C6 ASAP (save one spot for Spearmint placement on the lawn) as SUN allows so I am ready for the next Spearmint to fill C7 and C3 !! I will wait if Spearmint is early to be sure C5, C6, C7 are filled (minus one slot of course).
Final plant is Concealmint and I have used one early but try to save for near the end for best use racking the score higher.
Final layout has 10 Caulis in C1 and C2 plus 4 Dusk Lobbers in rows 2 & 4 (C4-C7) and alternating MoonFlowers in rows 1,3,5 (depends exactly what else I place (DL or Cauli if I have more than 10) Column 7 Spikerocks can be replaced once the second Spearmint has been put down (for spikerocls in C3)

For my Level 1 profile I am using Gold Bloom instead of Imitator (Cauli) along with Shadow Peashooter instead of Dusk Lobber (just not available yet for the profile) since I have been preoccupied with BattleZ instead of finishing Modern Day !! Best score is 2.5M but average is just under 2M (when Zombies do not reach the Caulis)

I know. I’m sorry. I was posting in the hopes others would see it in time.
I saw that the update was available, but figured I would keep trying to play....so far so good.
My streak is still alive @ 1362 and I have no plans to update unless forced to!

I am averaging better than 6M with my high Nastery plants; been so long since I used the Modern Day plants...
Moi aussi - no update until I'm forced, like hyacinths... my husband who worked in industry (maintenance for military) & who has much experience of charlie foxtrots advised me this morning to leave things be...
Being a novice I don't have hugely levelled-up plants but I'm happy with my Battlez progress using shadow plants this week - right where I want to be, mid-Gold League.
