You are not alone, there are lots of players have reported this bug both on here and on the other web sites.

I hope, i dont want to loose my premium plants and things what i bought at the game. We will see how EA will fix this mess.
For the moment the bonus items do not seem to go away no matter how many you use !
You may notice that you will not always collect earned items with the exception of seed packets which always acrue.
You will not lose that which you have paid currency for !!
Do not freak out the first time you see the coins or mints, or GEMs go to zero !!
Just exit the game and re-enter...the numbers will return !!
