My child has been playing PVZ 2 on his tablet for awhile and just reached the Dark Ages. He doesn't want to restart but he got a new tablet for Xmas and wants to transfer his account. Unfortunately it seems child accounts can't register with an email so I don't know how he can do this.
In this case you will need to ensure the game progress is backed up on Google Play for Android or Game Center for iOS and hope that when you reinstall the game to change the age, the progress is reloaded on the old device ready for email registration.

The problem is because he set his age to his actual age he can't register it with Google Play. The Google Play button is just not there at all. Also thanks for the tip about the Player ID, I didn't think about that so I removed it.
