Update to PVZ 2 12.0.1 and lost all progress

Two weeks ago it was perfect. Today when I opened the game (automatic updated), I have to start from scratch. At first I thought maybe this is part of some sort of new tricks for the version, but then I realised that it couldn’t be. I can still see my “accomplishments” in my Apple Game Center (pic 1), but no matter how I open the game, I just couldn’t get to my old progress. The second picture I attached is even wilder. I couldn’t even access Arena as a newbie, but it shows my winning streak from my last progress?? What is wrong with this app/developer? I couldn’t even email them and get a response. All the AI chat is nonsense. Can someone in the community help me out? Thanks in advance.

    If you signed up for EA's email registration scheme then you can get a unique code sent to your email address to restore your account from the backup servers.

    This takes about 5 minutes. 

    If you  have your player id number, you can contact EA HELP CENTER by tapping on help center at the bottom of this page.

    Please note that EA can't/ won't restore an account without your player id number so please screenshot it and keep it safe.

    If you have a new profile and can't get EA to recover your old one from the backup servers, they will add plants to your new startup account if you have proof of purchase from your purchase history.

    PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PLAYER ID NUMBER MUST BE THE OLD ONE ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR MISSING ACCOUNT, THE ONE ISSUED WITH YOUR NEW ACCOUNT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND USELESS TO YOU.

    I couldn’t get into contact with the EA advisor… there’s simply no option for me to contact them from the bottom page.

    I updated on January 23rd last month, and my game progress and account disappeared. Fortunately, I successfully registered EA two months ago to upload the game progress to the cloud, and backed up the iPhone to iCloud, and also contacted EA hlep I also sent a screenshot of the game account ID before, and their response said (Thank you for the information, I have checked, we are currently unable to update your progress, please update us on the tool issues we are facing at the end, sometimes please wait Wait, we will definitely help you get back on track. )
    Ask him again how long it will take? Answer (I'm not sure, but this is an important EA game, so don't worry it will be fixed soon.

    No response till now? My case shows: Processing...

    No 5 minutes later,

  • I also lost my progress. I remember that when I played before, there was no EA login option. I logged in directly with my Apple ID and did not use Game Center. However, after this update, I need to log in with these two accounts, and I can't find my previous save files.

    I registered my email with EA in the game a long time ago and got the gem reward.  How do I get a unique code sent to my email address and fix my problem in five minutes?  Two updates ago I lost my progress and it took help 3 WEEKS to restore it.  Lost my progress again with this update and they're "working on it" again.  I certainly would love a five minute solution.

    My game progress is wiped out every time the game is updated.  Previously, I used live chat on the PvZ2 support page.  An agent would restore the progress immediately.  It looks like the live chat option was removed recently.  I can only contact support through an email link on the support page now.  I received a response after a few days saying that the ticket has been transferred to a dedicated team.  It's still not fixed after a week.

  • I recommend to ask EA help immediately and then uninstall until reinstall when progress recovered
