I hope that is just a mistake. I saved quite a few gauntlets with those double rewards.

The reward thing is a bug. Comment from Haem:
The rewards thing is a bug, and it hadn't updated with the latest binary update. It's a straight forward fix but we may not be able to get that out till Thursday. I'm advocating hard to see if we can get the fix live earlier to allay fears and people freaking out but worst case scenario, you may continue to see rewards look like that till we can data push on Thursday.
Could someone who had updated to the latest version confirm this bug has been fixed please?

I updated last night and streak rewards are currently double.
Thanks @MAGICDAVESHROOM . Wish I had asked this question last night. I did not want to waste my efforts, coins and seeds as i was and am still 3x Olive Pits to bring from level 4 to level 5. 👿
I had to update to play penny's pursuit, i really need lots of pumpkin seeds but this happened.
