I can feel your pain bro... I myself made similar post regarding lightning reed in a idea suggestion thread. The lightning reed was the most underpowered plant before it's nerf indeed, but now it's just completely useless. The only purpose it have is just plant it to have fun seeing basic hatless zombies getting zapped to death, the animation is rather funny; but fun animation and overall interesting and original behavior of the plant is never a reason to nerf or make it be weak\useless as intended. You don't have to nerf a good plant just because it's fun to use.
Do developers or moderators of EA forum even read threads like these?? If you do, please let us know and reply here. I personally believe that EA job is supposed to be not only moderate the forum, but contact to developers about people complain about certain aspects and writing feedback. Best games are games where developers looking at player's feedbacks.
Exactly. They had to BUFF it instead of nerf it, that would do it much better for the plant. At least swap the 0.25 damage with 0.5 damage, that would be a good start. So far even peashooter is a better offensive\horde control plant than lightningreed, and if they make lightning reed do 0.5 damage per direct hit and chain, it would still remain somewhat underpowered, but at least it's nolonger will be complete worthless and will find it's situational uses like against weasels at least, if you plant whole like (5 plants) of them.
Also I'm myself curious if developers even read what people say or care about their player at all. I hope some moderator will reply here too.
