@rainz_is_a_bot Could you turn your phone to airplane mode (no internet data and no WiFi) and then see if you can start the PVZ2 App? This should help to identify whether or not the issue is local to your phone or the PVZ2 server.
It still didnt work on airplane mode.

Thanks for the reply @rainz_is_a_bot .
So it is a local issue, this suggests the problem is either with your phone or the game.
FYI, I have an iphone SE recently and got everything transferred over from the old 7plus, it runs without the issue you experienced, so I am more inclined to think there is a possibility of data corruption on your game. Since you cannot use the game any more, I suggest to delete the game and install it again from fresh and see if this makes any changes, BUT (and it is a big but) before you do anything to PVZ2, please make note or take a screenshot of your player ID if you have not already done so as this is an important detail you need to provide to the EA HELP CENTER staffs should you required their assistance.
In your case, you might need to get this information from the iphone's Settings since you cannot open the game. Steps are below.
1) From you main screen, go to Settings
2) Scroll down until you find the PvZ2 app
3) Click on the PvZ2 App and you should find your player ID under the PLAYER INFO section.

I followed your steps as told, but when i went to find my player ID, it said unknown. I still have not opened the app yet, but i imagine it will crash

@rainz_is_a_bot @eieio_31310 I‘ve read about similar issues on iOS 15. What version are you on? I update my OS manually to make sure I don‘t run into such problems.
