PvZ3 beta feedback

I couldn't wait to play PvZ3 again (I played until pre-alpha) and I already have some pretty good feedback about this new release.

Pros:
- Graphics
- Soundtrack
- Fast levels
- History
- Neighborville reconstruction

What I didn't like:
- Sun production is very slow and hinders the game
- Some levels can only be completed with powerups
- I can't repeat past levels (I need coins)
- There is no fertilizer
- There is no Taco Time
- I can't choose my plants

I loved the possibility of placing plants on the map and I would like to see other plants... it makes the map more alive (lol).

  • Where is the Almanac? It was fun to see the strange description of the plants and zombies.
  • I would like to repeat past levels, to obtain coins and to pass my time... Of course, when repeating I don't expect to obtain Taco Tickets to progress in the story.
  • Have Dave and Patrice randomly walk around the map while the story is not in progress...
  • I believe that the impossibility of choosing the plants is intentional, but it totally interferes with my strategies.

I hope to see changes and I can't wait for the next updates.

  • I agree with everything you said. Since the 1st beta until now, I haven't felt that much change or new gameplay mechanics, I liked the idea that we were "saving neighborville" with changes in the neighborhood, it makes the story more "immersive", however, that alone didn't make me happy to play the PvZ 3 continuously...

I think the team should bring some cool systems from the alpha version of PvZ 3 (the 3D version), like:

    • Taco time
    • the zombies and bosses in the neighborhood with you having to click on them to enter a match
    • Club system
    • Online mode
    • Fertilizer
    • Plant progression with an almanac
    • Plant selection

The developer team needs to understand that they got the game's graphics and theme right, but the mechanics really aren't exciting, which was the opposite in the first version of PvZ 3, which lost all of the franchise's classic look but was fun to play.

So I think these old mechanics should be introduced in the current game, of course they can still continue with the power ups and new puzzles, but as I said, it would be much better!

@BigAngeloZao I do agree that Tacobilities would add something very interesting to pvz3. Even if Plant Food wouldnt be in the game, Tacobilities would be that new big gimmick for the game. The grapes of Wrath are nice, but they are not a big gimmick. I think they would be better off as a booster or powerup, not the main new gimmick.

To better illustrate the feedback, I want to replay levels to get coins (and pass time while preparing for the last level)
