Error message re purchasing

I am getting the following message when I try to make a purchase. “You already have an in-progress transaction for the requested product.” It does it on anything I try to purchase. I’ve updated and that doesn’t help. I’m afraid if I delete and reload the game I will lose all my progress. Any ideas on how to fix this?
