[ Xbox One ] Game crashes when friend joins
Everytime my friend joins my game session it crashes my game and when I join him it fails to join. We have tried re-downloading the game and resetting modems routers. Anyone else have this or know wha...

Same here. No matter what I tried I cant seem to connect to my girlfriend without crashing. Also, I have tried all methods of troubleshooting - I could list them if you'd like but I am by no means exaggerating when I say all means of troubleshooting.
We also had no issues with PvZ1, we played Garden Ops countless of times, this is only recent with the current edition of the game or an error on EA's server.
If you can list any troubleshooting that hasn't been mentioned that would be awesome. That way we can have a good list for people to try.
A list would be nice. This problem drives me crazy!

But here, this is everything I have tried. Do note, none of these methods helped for me. If they helped you - reply with the method for others to see.
Also, I have not tried to reroute my IP, I am hesitant about tinkering with my network but if someone is willing to try, let me know if that helps.
Methods tried in order to "fix":
- Xbox Hard Reset
- Cleared Mac Address
- Router Reset
- Modem Reset
- Uninstall/reinstall
- Cleared save data
- Configuring region
- Configuring privacy and security settings
- Different account
- Different Xbox
- Port Forwarding
- Static IP/Dynamic IP
- Different disk
- I may have missed a few methods - if so ask and I can let you know if have already tried that.
General Info:
- Able to play any multiplayer game mode alone without issue
- Able to play any other video game's multiplayer without issue
- Able to connect to players from different region in this and other games
- Reside in same state as friend
- Crash happened during the Beta several times as well
- Never encountered issue until this game
- Physical copy of game (Deluxe Edition)
- So you running a physical copy of the game?
Yes but it happened during the Beta also which was digital. I don't think it matters either way.
- Yeah I see that now wonder why they won't acknowledge this issue. Oh yeah it's EA lol.
Thanks for all the info everyone has posted I'm sure some day they will have this fixed but probably not before the the division is out.
If a workaround or fix is found please post. I just got word from the Specialist Team with a possible fix, here it is.
"Revoke access in Origin. If you do not have the Origin Client you will need a PC or Mac in order to download it. You will sign in and g to account and privacy and scroll down to connected accounts and revoke access. then sign into xbox and start PVZGW2 and it will ask you to reconnect your GT. and try again. I would do it for both accounts".
