I suspect I may be in the minority, but I am really loving BFN. I haven't felt compelled to go back to GW2, and when I do it now feels a bit weird to me. Walking feels like being stuck in molasses, I find aiming harder due to faster camera, aim assist doesn't seem to lock on. (I know that I could adjust aiming via options, but I never have so I'm just comparing the default configurations).
After the most recent balance patch I feel like multiplayer is quite even. Matches seem to go to the better team, not to the better characters.
I terms of dead lobbies, I can only speak for my platform and region, which is Xbox Australia. Currently BFN seems to have a similar number of players as GW2. Yesterday I jumped back and forth between Turf Takeover on BFN and GW in the morning, and matches in both games had about the same number of players. However outside of TT and weekly events it's a ghost town. Sadly that's nothing new for the franchise.
I agree with the general consensus that prize bulbs might be too hard to acquire now. Having to average 6 bulbs a day to complete the map is quite a tall order. I've never cared much about cosmetics in GW, but I know that for some players they are an important part of the game, so hopefully EA will hear their concerns.
In terms of glitches and bugs, I'm honestly hardly experiencing any. The occasional "Oh no! You were disconnected from the server", but I have had those in all 3 GW games. Many people describe the game as unplayable, so there must be real problems that affect a portion of the player base. I'm not a hardcore gamer, so perhaps more experienced players are attuned to subtle problems with the game that don't bother a casual player such as myself.
What I would like to see added to the game: solo PvP (and/or more battle chests); adjustable Ops difficulty; more PvP maps in the future; new PvE areas in the future.
